Mr. Becker was recommended to me by another Mom at my kids daycare, who was also a judge. I have worked with him several times - contract dispute, estate litigation and a business sale. I found him to be extremely competent and very good at explaining what was happening and what options we had, in normal-people language instead of legalese. Fees were clearly explained and ended up being pretty much spot on. Litigation is a very emotional, complex, and drawn- out experience and Mr. Becker was very helpful with an even- keel, take it a step at a time presence. With my business sale, it was gratifying to know I had an expert to review complex contracts and issues I had no idea would be involved, and the process went smoothly. I would highly recommend this attorney.

I typically don't like to comment or write reviews but when I reflect on our experience with this law firm, I felt I owe it to others to help them learn from my mistakes. This attorney is expensive and we hired him to help us with a breach of contract lawsuit. His paralegal was a former attorney that is disbarred (both during our time with this law firm and his current status)  in the State of California. We hired Mr. Becker  and he supposedly was to supervise the work of his paralegal but we did not get that sense. We pretty much had to deal with the paralegal as if he was our attorney and not Mr. Becker. When we told him we were uncomfortable with his paralegal, Kelly Wilson, he dropped us as clients. Our uncomfortable feelings stemmed from factors such as:  overcharging, delays and timeliness issues, too much editing of his work, not showing work we were being charged for)  We ended up paying twice what we contracted for. We were so naive and emotional during this process and I hope this is helpful to someone in the same position. Make sure you do your research. We were too trusting. When he let us go, he said it was because the paralegal was no longer going to be working for him and he could not sustain the caseload. When our new attorney contacted Becker's office regarding work product owed us, he found out that the paralegal was still working with him.
