We did 30 minute consultataion with Carol. It was the most intelligent advice we ever got for our existing on going repetitive problem. Pretty disappointed: feeling lack of honesty I have a complex immigration consultation regarding F-1/2 and J-1/2 student Visas. I spent many hours doing research until I got a pretty good understanding of the specific details. I wrote to Litwin & Smith, as well as other immigration law firms, explaining in detail my understanding of the situation, and asking for potential options. The other Firms replied that unfortunately my understanding was correct and that there were no options. Litwin & Smith was the only one that offered me a $200 consultation. I asked explicitly if there were options (didn't want to pay $200 to hear "yeah, unfortunately there's nothing that we can do"), to which they replied that there were. The result? Ended the call with the same knowledge as I started (with an upfront "situation is not looking good"), feeling that the attorney was not well versed on the topic, and with $200 less and 30 min less of my time. I have dealt with multiple attorneys who won't offer a consultation unless they know they can help you, but this is not one of them
