He went to work, this Attorney is so extremely intelligent and brilliant. The defense try to settle for 7,000. Peter and his team settlement for 50,000! well worth the case. Thanks so very much!

Thank you so much for everything. I am still in shock by how much you got me to resolve my case and the fact that I also got a retraining voucher. You and you team have truly changed my life. Peter represented me on a workers compensation matter just recently. My case went on for a couple years because the first doctor Sedgwick sent me to both he’s the dang surgery- I was referred to Peter and from the beginning he was up front about the process and was able to get me a second opinion and a additional surgery to fix the first hack job that was done to me. Any time I needed an answer either he or someone from his team got back to me. I found that email works best and it also helped me keep track of the questions I asked because some of the meds I was given made me a little forgetful. Anyway when it was all said in done I got my additional surgery and a great settlement at the end. I couldn’t be happier! I highly recommend him and his team at Solimon Rodgers!

I worked as a concrete carpenter apprentice & journeyman laborer for my company for two years and was climbing up the ranks very quickly do to my work ethic. I was on my way to being promoted when I got hurt on the job site, my company had my back up until that exact moment. My wife & I just wanted me to get my back fixed but the Workman's Comp insurance made extremely difficult. I saw three orthopedic surgeons & got three separate opinions but got the same answer from all, all three surgeons said they would've performed the surgery when it first happened. After I received the third denial for surgery in the mail, I decide to call Solimon Rodgers Law Office in Pomona for some much needed help, they were extremely helpful, professional, & they fought for me through the whole process. Their staff, defense attorneys, & paralegals were amazing! Having Solimon Rodgers represent me got me the best settlement I could get for my injury, but more importantly it put my mind & heart at ease knowing I was being represented by a firm that truly cares about their clients. Thank you so much for all your help Peter Solimon through the whole process & thank you for all that you did for my case to make sure I was taken care of properly.

I was referred to attorney Allison by a good friend, gave him a call and he immediately scheduled an in person meeting for the following day -A SATURDAY. I know from experience most attorneys don't dare come into the office on a weekend to meet clients. :-) Thomas Allison was on time, he created a strategy and listened. He didn't stress me with an unreachable financial retainer fee; he was more concerned with how he could help me legally. His associate Lauren Sorsby is also a gem! If you are looking for a FAIR and SMART attorney- Mr. Allison is your guy!

He charge me a flat fee to resolve my case and that's what he did; other places charge you per hour besides the charge of reviewing your case and then the hidden fees start popping up. Loved the fact that he was very clear in explaining how my case was going to go, what was he going to do for me and he kept me informed throughout the length of my case.

Excellent Service. They were attentive and explained step by step what was happening with my case. They don't charge per hour like some attorneys and gave me a great price. There service is great and they keep me updated with my court dates and information.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Pomona, California?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
