For the service and professionalism of the Elder and Disability Law Firm, my wife and I are extremely thankful. Their advice and suggestions in formulating our family trust was beyond what we had envisioned; a truly complete and comprehensive document that considered the next two generations of our family.
Esther Wang and her staff made this important aspect of our family's future well-being an uncomplicated process. Without their understanding of our situation and their insight in dealing with potential outcomes, it would have been difficult, if not impossible, to structure a better trust.

I cannot thank Esther and her very professional staff for their help in writing my Dad's Irrevocable Trust and obtaining benefits now that he is in a home for Alzheimer's patients. I would never have been able to navigate the VA system or have the Trust written correctly. Many, many thanks for Esther Wang and her office and their professional work.

We learned so much from Ms Wang and her staff. They know what they're doing and how to apply for assistance for the elderly. We never could have gotten Medi-cal and VA benefits approved without them. Their fees may be high, but it is worth every penny when your loved one's life and well being are at stake. Thank you!

My wife's mother at age 89 required assisted living due to health and inability to care for herself and live alone. After researching senior living facilities we quickly learned how expensive this option would be. We sought input and advise from Esther Wang and learned that the mother in-law could qualify for US Veteran benefits to help defray the high costs of elder care. Esther Wang advised and guided us through every step of the process. The entire process resulted with the mother in-law moving to a wonderful assisted living facility, the sell of her primary residence, creation of trusts and wills to protect her interests and our sanity, ha ha. We feel so fortunate to have entrusted this important mater to Esther and her staff, we could not be more satisfied with the outcome, the professional conduct and thoroughness of all aspects.
Thank you all.................

My elderly Father-in-law experienced a fall that injured his hip. The injury left him in a wheel chair and unable to walk. My Mother-in-law was overwhelmed. We realized they could no longer live on their own and required extended care services. We moved them out of the home they lived in for 18 years and into an independent care facility. The costs of their new residence and the extended care services were very high and were depleting their small savings. My Father-in-law was a veteran of WWII and it was recommended by a consultant that we should look into VA Aid and Attendance benefits. We were advised that Esther Wang, Attorney at Law with Elder & Disability Law Firm, was the best. However, my Mother-in-law and I decided to go to the Veterans Affairs office to speak with them about the process and paperwork involved. We both realized that we needed to make an appointment with Ms. Wang. Esther was empathetic and extremely knowledgeable about working with the VA. Her paralegal, Kymberly Lewis, paralegal, was our contact and followed through with any questions and concerns we faced. Sadly, a few months after getting the VA benefit for my Father-in-law, he passed away. We called Esther to help us again, with acquiring VA Aid & Attendance, but this time it was for the spousal benefit for my Mother-in-law, who now walks with a cane. Esther was amazing with her legal prowess and together with Kymberly, we were able to achieve our goal. My Mother-in-law is now receiving her VA Aid & Attendance Spousal benefit! We highly recommend Esther Wang, Attorney at Law!!

I hired Esther and her amazing team in 2016 after my elderly widowed father relocated from Arizona to California to reunite with his high school girlfriend. Given his fragile health, we had a consult with Esther to explain his assets and financial situation in order to plan for the day he might need long term care. She recommended a solid plan to protect his rental property in Phoenix, and life insurance equity. We worked with her staff attorney Jason Oei to implement the details of this plan which included creating a trust, updated power of attorney docs, and a will. Jason was so helpful to represent us with several details concerning the title on my father's property in Arizona, and the homeowners association (which potentially had implications for his ability to continue renting out his property following transfer to the trust.) Jason helped us navigate all of this with confidence and patience, and he followed up on unresolved issues proactively.
More recently, my father had a serious illness which put him in the hospital for months, followed by 80 days of in-patient skilled nursing. We again hired the firm to advise on spend down and to handle his Medi-Cal application. Medi-Cal expert Kristie Reyland was so helpful, remained available to answer all my questions (and as a worrier, I had MANY), and put me at ease while we awaited the application to be approved.
As a Texas resident, I was familiar with the need for good long-term care planning with local counsel who know your state's ins/outs for Medicaid eligibility and asset protection. We hired a fantastic attorney for our TX-residing mother-in-law and she was worth every penny. Through that experience, I knew how important it was to find California experts on elder law, particularly Medi-Cal planning. While Redlands is nowhere convenient to my father's residence in the San Fernando Valley of LA County, I knew after consulting with Esther that she and her team were exactly who we needed to hire for help with my father. Dad was very comfortable with Jason, and everything was explained so well.
They are generous with their time, and truly get the job done for the price they quoted. They were also generous with their time to provide objective advice before I had even decided to move forward paying a retainer. They are a great example that if you build a helpful and trusting relationship with a client on the front end, they will want to do business with you.

In the past, we contacted Esther Wang's office for two different needs. Each meeting and follow-ups were handled by a highly informed support staff. We had assistance with V.A. benefits, and medical benefits. Not having to deal with the legal matters alone made the effort less stressful. It helps to get all the legal advise before you need it.

My parents suddenly needed to transition into Assisted Living, causing a hardship to their finances. Kymberly Lewis worked diligently on obtaining aid and attendance from the VA for my parents...we received a reimbursement of $38,000. from the VA that we had already spent over the last 9 months, as well as over $2,100. a month in continuing assistance..There's no way we could have ever dealt with all the requirements of the VA. Thank you Esther and Kymberly, you were lifesavers!!!

We had the opportunity to meet with Ms. Wang and Ms. Lewis, of the Elder & Disability Law Firm, Redlands, CA, regarding VA Benefits for a relative. Prior to the meeting, we had researched VA program(s) and found the process of understanding the system somewhat challenging. We were referred to Ms. Wang for consultation and advice on the appropriate filing process. Our experience was outstanding. This firm is both knowledgeable and highly ethical. They know the procedures associated with government filings and did everything in a timely and proper manner. We would strongly recommend this firm for any benefit or estate issues. They simply are the best in the field.

After spending a year with another firm who took my Dads money and never did anything, Esther Chen Wang and Kymberly Lewis were able to resolve all our trust and VA benefits issues in just 6 weeks! They talked us through the whole complicated process and were always there to answer every question along the way. They took great care of us and helped us accomplish what the other firm promised but never even tried to do. Now my dad is finally getting the care he deserves and needs at 96. We are very grateful. They came highly recommended and rightfully so.

Attorney Wang and Kymberly Lewis, Paralegal/VA Benefits Consultant, guided my family through the last few years of my parent’s lives. They helped update Mom and Dad’s trust and were an immeasurable help after their passing. They were always kind and understanding. I can’t say enough about how we appreciated the precise and accurate legal advice. Anyone working with elderly parents should consider making Attorney Wang and her staff a part of the family team.
