Like all unique times in a person's life, you aren't ever sure of the outcome or what twists and turns the road will present ahead. What you do know is that you don't get a choice in whether or not you take the journey. The motivation can come from any number of things, among the least favored when there is any form of harm or injury to yourself or another person. This is among several things I learned in the coming days after my hit-and-run collision; Realizing that you've been left at the scene of a collision by yourself sucks. You immediately become very grateful for the strangers that come to your aid and the first responders that arrive to get you to proper care. Emergency Room care when needed is crucial; It's also expensive. So are specialists if your injuries are severe enough to need them. All forms of collision reporting (police report, ER reports, et al) in the current day and climate of those drivers who either are ignorant of driving laws or simply choose not to follow them is required. No one else will protect you out there but you. Until you get someone truly on your side. Someone who was able to convince me they are more than capable of representing me after my stumbling through a googled online webpost just looking to ask a lawyer for advice. Enough to put me at ease to retain him on the spot, and like clockwork moments later my phone is ringing and it's his staff ready to get to work then and there, ready to meet on my time schedule and eager to do so. This is what happened when Brent Duque and his team represented me. This is what walked up to my virtual door and knocked, and words alone can't do their service justice, nor can they ever live up to how grateful I am for that. Anyone that has confided in me they are looking for an attorney or are unhappy with their current one, I give them his. I dislike confrontation, and discussions with any number of people or agencies where you have to answer the same question 10 different times in 30 different ways is a waste of time and stress that no one needs. Best to let those that understand the ins-and-out of these matters do what they do for you so your focus can be on healing and returning to as normal a life as soon as you can. This guy is a CROOK!!!! STAY AWAY!!!! He settled a case for $14,800.00 out of court for my daughter getting rammed by a semi size truck as she was driving South on I-5 during a rainstorm in the dark. Police report puts the guy 100% at fault!!!Cop said most don't survive an impact like that! She is lucky. Totalled her vehicle, and permanent injury. I paid medical bills Mr. Brent Duque said I would be reimbursed but HE KEPT THE MONEY FOR HIMSELF!!!!! He's an angry visits man who should lose his licence

I had a personal injury case that started in January 2019. My first attorney did absolutely nothing for me. I hardly ever talked with him. In January 2022, I received a letter from him dismissing himself from the case saying he could do nothing for me but I better hurry and find another attorney due to statute of limitations regarding time. Another attorney, Ashley Lakain, hired by my first attorney was great. She kept me informed as to what was going on. I was able to reach her most of the time and when I couldn't, she always returned my calls in a timely fashion.
