I’m not sure where to start as my child custody and support case had gone on from 2019- 2024. Needless to say I’ve become close to my attorney and staff. Bryanna Brandalesi and Melinda Bozick always had my best interest and back when defending myself on a complicated and intricate case. Both were always understanding and helpful. I can not say enough about Bryanna because not only is she honest, hardworking and willing to go the extra mile for her clients but she is professional and knowledgeable about the nuances of child custody and support. Thank you Bryanna and Melinda in all that you have done for my family. If you should every need representation, I recommend Miller and Associates, Attorneys LLP

When I started the process of my divorce over 2 1/2 years ago, I thought I would be able to it without an attorney. After a couple months of back and forth, and getting nowhere I reached out to Miller & Associates. This was the best decision and the only thing I wish I would have done different was reach out sooner. Leigh and Anthony were phenomenal! They answered countless questions, walked me through the process step by step, and ensured everything was done timely and correctly. I didn’t feel pushed while making decisions, everything was always fully explained and I was able to make the best decision for myself and my daughter. They assisted with child support and contacting my ex-husbands place of business when I wasn’t able to get any answers. They took a stressful situation and helped me feel more at ease and comfortable with the entire process. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Overall, the staff at Miller & Associates is knowledgeable, caring and will do what it takes to ensure you are taken care of to the best of their abilities. If you are going through a divorce or a custody issue, call them…they will be able to help you and guide you through a difficult situation.

I have the upmost gratitude for the amount of care, attention to detail, diligence, and effective communication received by Miller and Associates. Anthony B. And Aspen M. were definitely some of the best in the business! I can only imagine the tribulations I would have been in for if I hadn’t had the pleasure of working with those two. Thank you so much 🤩

I had the best experience with Anthony Barajas. The office and staff are very friendly and responsive. Anthony represented me in a child custody case along with his Paralegal Aspen. They responded quickly, and Anthony came prepared to all my court dates , not to mention he never sent assistants for himself. He is very knowledgeable and very collected. I had a pretty hard and crazy case and anytime I needed anything, I was able to get a response quickly from Anthony and Aspen. Every single court date Anthony made me feel at ease and represented me zealously. I am going to recommend Miller and Associates to anyone I know that needs an excellent stand up attorney. I'm happy to say thanks to Anthony, we won our court case . I will never go anywhere else.

John did a great job on my case I was found not guilty of 4 felonies and had cought 2 cops lying on the stand and they got suspended over it he had paused the court in order to get advice from his supervisor that's pretty amazing and then he made the proper decision to not be seen buy a jury trial because only a lawyer and a judge would know the law the way it's written and therefore got me not guilty on a technicality because the way the law was written

I was glad my financial advisor referred me to Ron. My Revocable Trust was due for a review and I also needed to make a few changes. Ron was very detailed and explained everything in a way that was easy for me to understand. I was very satisfied and will be going to Ron with any future Trust issues or changes that need his expertise. I would definitely recommend Ron. Ron and his wife Sharon are a great team. I enjoyed meeting with them. It wasn’t just about the paper work, they made you feel at ease, you could tell they really care about their clients.

I am pleased with the service and connection we made as a family ,they are caring people and treated me as one. They made an organized and beautiful book for me with items page by page for adding or updating changes, I can stay in touch with them when ever I can. For the service they accommodated me for monthly pay verses one lump sum which I couldn't afford. Now I have a peace of mine.

Normally I wouldn't leave a review in my particular situation. See I wanted to hire Mr Runkle after hearing what a great job he did for a friend of mine. Then we spoke and immediately I got a over whelming sense that he was the guy for the job. Only problem was. I was broke. Just buying a house and moving off grid. I went over my budgets and was struggling. Not to mention I'm kinda stubborn feeling like it shouldn't cost me a fortune because I'm innocent. My father offered me money but I was to proud to accept it. Not wanting his money to go to waist on me. Joe understood my feelings on it. He gave me some options. Was very professional and kind even knowing I couldn't afford him. He told me to call him any time if I had any questions. Year goes by. My situation gets much worse and more complicated with much more on the table at steak. Worried beyond a reasonable level of sanity left in me. In the 4th quarter on the 3rd down with 2 minutes left on the clock and my QB just injured and out of the game. Joe took the time while out with his kids to stop take my call and spend over a hour on the phone with me. Guided me toward some light. Explained everything I had questions about to me in a way I could understand. In a way that I felt better. He is undoubtedly a excellent Attorney and very knowledgeable about law. He must really like his job because he seems very comfortable doing it like second nature. He even was willing to drive to my city hours away sleep in a motel and jump right in picking up wear my injured QB left off at the last minute for me knowing I was in a bad place. I knew I couldn't afford to ask him to do that. But he sure did offer and helped me every bit that he could over the phone. Made me feel better. I offered him money for his time as we talked a few times in total. But he refused to accept it. He doesn't realize it yet and may never. But the way he carried himself with me. Has earned him the most valuable thing I have to offer anyone. My friendship. Thank you Joe. If I had money to pay you. Your hands down the Attorney I would pick for any legal matter I have for the rest of my life. Your fees are very reasonable and lower then most that don't give me half the good feeling and impression that I get with you. You are obviously a champion of freedom and justice. If You ever find yourself in need in my areas of expertise. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me. God bless.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Rocklin, California?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
