We went to Caitlin Ross for our Estate Planning, specifically to create a new Living Trust; which consisted of the Living Trust, Wills, Powers of Attorney and Advance Health Care Directives and HIPAA Releases. When everything was completed, she provided us with our Living Trust in a nice organized binder; she included a USB drive so that we could easily modify our Trust Assets as they change and instructions so that we would know what steps to take in moving our assets into the trust; these were for our various bank accounts, securities and insurance products. Caitlin was always very professional and responsive; she returned all of our email questions and returned our calls whenever we left voicemail messages to her. She is very knowledgeable and was able to explain the process of creating our Living Trust and all the parts that made up the Living Trust. She is very personable and we really liked working with her and we will definitely seek her assistance in the future on any other legal matters that she specializes in. We highly recommend her.

Caitlin Ross has been my attorney for many years. She is professional, thorough, and kind. She has counseled me throughout the years regarding my estate options. In the beginning it felt very overwhelming to think about planning my end of life wishes. I didn’t realize how many details needed to be addressed. Caitlin has always been patient and informative as I’ve navigated the different systems. She understands the impact of making end of life decisions and accepts the changes we as clients inevitably decide to make throughout the process. When I contact her with a concern, she responds right away. If I need to see her, she sees me promptly. I know she’s busy, however I have never felt rushed during our appointments. Caitlin is a great listener. She knows many of the very private circumstances of my life. She knows because I trust her. Lastly, when I see Caitlin we always have a good laugh. I don’t believe she charges extra for the humor. 😊

I was referred to Caitlin thru a friend. During our first phone conversation we had the introduction and Caitlin mentioned her fees of $xxx for her services of representing me in writing a living will. I was going thru a consolidation effort for all my finances. When I mentioned to her that we should wait until the consolidation project is over with, she was still persistent in having all copies of my finances records. It became obvious to me that Caitlin has NO experience with overseas allocation of funds. It took me a long time to go thru all the paper work and learn all the ins and outs of the CA law for out of country allocations and the different institutions rules and regulations. I just did not have the confidence that she would be able to represent me after death and hence, I approached her with my request to cancel my contract. She charged me the full amount to cancel and it is totally unfair to pay the lawyer fees who shows little to NO knowledge of my needs. Be aware! I thought I should write my experience for the readers to learn and raise awareness…

Zach at Cohen Defense was fantastic, kind, reassuring, and got me the best-case resolution I could hope for.

Overall the Cohen defense group is on the higher end of professionalism, communication was great,time keeping at court was great, he explained everything in detail and made sure I understood everything that was before me, I was comfortable and confident in haveing these represent me. The case went according to plan,and I feel the results I got I might not of got with another firm. Highly recommend these to anybody that needs help. 5stars
