Shawn was incredible helpful, communicative and transparent from consultation all the way to settlement. I would 100% recommend him. Starting with consultation, Shawn never made any exaggerated outcomes or gave unrealistic expectations for how my case might play out. Once I decided to move forward with Shawn, he was very communicative throughout the entire process and I never felt like I was in the dark about what was going on. Additionally, at the end of each month I was sent an invoice for his services and it made it so easy to see the breakdown of work going on. I never felt like I didn't know where my money was going. The level of transparency around that felt so good, especially since this was my first time navigating the legal system. He also made a some very strong power moves for me. This includes getting sellers to quickly respond to our demand letter, getting a forensic contractor to my home within a few days (can potentially take months because of COVID right now) and a mediation date that was about 6 weeks away once we got other council to agree (again, because COVID this can take 4-6 months to get scheduled) .Overall, I felt like I made the right choice for my legal needs and was happy with the speed and result of my settlement. GREAT lawyer!!!! Ryan was very straightforward and good with communicating everything with my case. I was facing some pretty life changing charges and thanks to Ryan I was able to get everything dropped.

Ryan helped me with a case I was dealing with for a while , he always was straight forward with me and very truthful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I had a dui case and had to fight it because i wasn't driving. I originally had a different lawyer who never talked to me about what was happening or anything and he was way to expensive so i looked around and spoke with attorney Kocot and i could already tell he knew what he was talking about. I fired the other guy and hired Kocot. He kept me updated every step of the way. Answered any and all questions i had and was easy to get a hold of when needed. He was able to get my case dismissed with the court and the DMV!!! I am sooo grateful for everything he did to help me! Another great thing is he has a great price for the amazing work he does!

Me and my husband spend about 2 years taking our 6 years son to the skate park in Folsom. We created friends there. My son was adored by his friends of all ages. Some of his friends were older, about 13 years old. And they were always giving Israel attention. We used to stay hours watching Israel skate and in the end we would bring pizza and share with the boys including the attendants at the skate park. We created a group of friends we thought. The park has a kiosk with an attendant of The City and we sign in and write our cell phone number every time we come and pay $3 fee. We were happy in this community and sometimes we would even offer to pay for some friends. I suffered a lot with allergies during the spring 2016 and one day after spending hours watching Israel I decided to leave him at the park, spoke to the attendant, and to his 13 year old friend Jack - I went home to take some medicine for the allergies and get him some food. One mom saw Israel and I was not there, she called the cops. When I was on my way back to the park I got a phone call from the police saying that my child was unnatended. Yes, I said and I asked the police if I was in trouble. He said no worries but don't do this again and expect a visit from the CPS at your house this week. The agent came and visit and met with me, my husband and spoke our Son. She was surprised and happy to see our home harmonious and all of us living peacefully - She left saying I'm not worried about you and I won't tell you how to parent because it seems you guys are doing a great job. And we continued living our life in a positive routine as always when a couple weeks later I received a letter to show up at Court or I would be arrested. My case was reported as Child Endangerment and I understand that my kid was little but I was trusting community, the older friends and attendants that had cell phone and could get a hold of me in case of emergency. I learned the lesson and I am 100% present in my children's lives. And I made a mistake. But I never meant to hurt my child. And I never do. There was a misunderstanding, my case was reported as me willing for my child to get hurt. Ryan showed up to save me from this nightmare and I am ready to be free. I took an awesome Parenting classes program in Southern California and I think every parent should take. We all need support and when I needed support I was put in a very difficult situation, scared of the dangerous reality of our world and hoping to see our kids playing peacefully and thrive - Israel was so stoked to be at the park, thriving and being in His Highest Self, ripping on the skate park ramps. I am conscious of not neglecting my children and who knows me know that. I'm happy to be completing my 1 year probation respecting the laws and respecting everyone and paying attention in all that I do to stay safe and create safety for my children, my Family and my friends. I trust myself and I trust Ryan. I am so thankful for Ryan with his knowledge and his desire to defend his clients from crimes and experiences that no one deserves. Ryan not only was there from the day I called him, he beat other lawyers in his area, and in a near (county) prices by 50% or greater.... I had my first dui and was very scared. I was VERY lucky and am thankful to have been referred to Ryan. I had turned to Yelp for my DUI and a very highly rated and reviewed lawyer sent me to Ryan since my DUI was in Fairfield. That lawyer's expertise is Sac, while Ryan has expertise with both the Sac and Fairfield courts. I'm sure Ryan could work well anywhere, but having experience in a particular jurisdiction is valuable. I was not driving while intoxicated (or buzzed) and wanted to win to keep my record clear. Ryan fought for my case and got me a dismissal in the end. He was incredibly knowledgeable, communicative, helpful, concerned, is unbelievably nice, and was confident going to trial.
