Elderly Abuse Nursing Home I never thought me and my family would ever need an attorney. In 2013 my family and I had to put my elderly mother in a nursing home. She was there for 31 days before passing away. During her time there, my family and I felt that she was not being properly taken care of. After her death we decided to look for an attorney to seek justice for our mother. We contacted Attorney Sean Laird and were happy that we did. When my mother passed away due to the elder abuse she suffered in a nursing home I was referred to Sean Laird. When Sean took my case he took time to talk to me about my mother, my case and my feelings. He understood my fears about the legal process and he took time to explain everything: from filing the case, depositions, change of venues, interviews, to the length of time for an average case. I would recommend Sean Laird for the following reasons; First of all he achieved a very successful result in my case. Two other attorneys turned down the case because they thought it would not receive a positive result. He is very good at the discovery aspect of the legal process. He is patient and will go over complex legal processes with you. You feel at ease with him because he is generally friendly and he evokes trust, because he also presents an image of being a family man. But when he is pursuing your legal interests he is all business and very firm. But, at the same time has the ability to negoiate in a cordial and friendly manner with his opponents. Sean Laird is an attorney very experienced in elder abuse cases. He is thorough in his research and honest in his dealings with his clients. In 2012 it became necessary for our family to place our son into a Residential Treatment Program which specialized in mental health treatment for children in crisis. Unfortunately, after a series of inexcusable incidents of Child Abuse and Neglect, we sought the counsel of Attorney Sean Laird. Sean was absolutely amazing as he boldly and independently took on this corporation and their "legal team", giving an undeniable voice to children who have been mistreated. Was very weary about filing a bankruptcy. I went and spoke to Scott and he answered all of my questions (even if I thought they might seem redundant).
