Without hesitation, I highly recommend Maryam Kia for all of your immigration needs. She, and her team, are knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate. She knows how to navigate the system, and is familiar with case law and precedents which will make all the difference when issues arise. My wife did not take the traditional route to living in the United States. She came over on a Tourist Visa and never left. When she and I met, we determined to resolve this issue. During the process, we were met with multiple hurdles including unmet requirements for a prior J-Visa and questionable actions while my wife was a youth. Our first attorney started our immigration process in a very boilerplate way, counting on the courts to identify any exceptions we would need to resolve at the time. That process was an expensive failure. Undaunted, we found Maryam. When we explained the circumstances, Maryam was there for us. She was kind, compassionate, and (above all) exactly who we needed. She drew up a plan and walked us through the process every step of the way. If it were not for Maryam, I would still have the daily fear that an immigration agent was going to show up at our door. Don't waste your time and money, and certainly don't risk your legal protections with just any attorney. Immigration is an incredibly complex (many would say broken) system. You need someone who specializes in the domain, and someone with over a decade of proven experience. Maryam is the attorney you need.
