Attorney Dedecker is the best family lawyer that I have ever work with. He takes deep interest in your case and makes it his own. He followed you all the way from verbal conversations, to paper work and to representing you until your case is won. After all the treats from my wife, MR Dedecker turn my story around amazingly. Today I walk out of court victorious. with all my wishes granted. I hardly had to say nothing much, MR. Dedecker represented me at every court hearing up to today at trial. I called him up after the farthest I realized I can go in the legal system, without my brain melting out of my ears from legal lingo and procedure, explained my case, and actually met him at the courthouse, he had appearances that day He agreed to take it, and hasn't let the gas down still. From when I hired him, till currently, an absolutely great lawyer, with an HONEST communication. He tells you what will help you, and hurt you in your situation, no sugar coating it, not a yes man lawyer that will tell you you're gonna get everything under the sun you want, and I personally like that. I had no clue about divorce, child custody or anything that comes along with it. When I saw my marriage headed down this path I really did not know where to start. A good friend of mine recommended that I talk to Michael and I’m so glad she did! Initially, I contacted Michael for a consultation. He answered my questions thoroughly and guided me to every single document that I would need to help process divorce and child custody. After trying to fill out paperwork on my own, I got overwhelmed. On top of the paperwork, my ex was being difficult. I called Michael and insisted that I needed help. I work full time and also have my kids full time. Michael was flexible with his time and scheduled time for us to meet. He didn’t throw a bunch of paperwork at me! He explained what I needed and we worked on each document piece by piece. After our meetings he would basically give me homework with reasonable due dates!! I was referred to Mr. DeDecker through a friend who had hired Michael for his case. I was looking for an attorney who was smart, accessible, and a shark in the courtroom. He is just that. My case was very complicated involving a custody battle with my very young child. Michael was very attentive and listened to every detail of my case. He was not afraid to take on my case and start right away with getting things done. He was very honest and helped me navigate the waters as effectively as possible. I spoke with Micheal on the phone in a panic. He eased my mind right away and was very informative of what I needed to do (before even getting him involved). Mr. Dedecker was extremely helpful and reasonable for both my immediate family and I during a critical and short period of time. Dedecker was able to help arrange custody and visitation orders for my daughter and I and was completely honest and fair for the best interest of her throughout the whole process. As a father, I was afraid and worried that anything would jeopardize my relationship with my daughter, the time I would spend with her, as well as the time I would be away from her. However, attorney Dedecker was able to modify and adjust the needs of my daughter by giving her what was best for her, and that was for her to equally have both her mother and father. I filed for 50/50 custody, and Dedecker helped me do just that; and for that, I will forever be thankful for him.

Michael was not my lawyer but instead he was my daughter’s father's lawyer. Before meeting Michael I was nervous about my daughter’s custody case but after meeting him, I instantly felt comfortable and knew my side was being heard. He was great at mediating both sides of parties to agree on a fair agreement for my daughter’s case. His work is very professional and highly recommended for families in need of someone trustworthy and fair. We found Michael through some previous work I did in child welfare. When our son was placed with us through foster care, we first consulted with Michael as we were applying to be de facto parents. He reviewed our request to the Court before we filed it, which was incredibly helpful. Once we were granted de facto status, we hired Michael to represent us in Court. His fee was incredibly reasonable considering the service he provided. He attended every hearing, ensuring our voices were heard, and made sure to request the placement order to be specifically with us so the child welfare agency could not move our son without a subsequent Court order (which was additional assurance for us). He was also very responsive to communication from us, which we usually just needed to process with Michael and hear his opinion based on his experience. He talked us through quite a few emotional moments. Michael also has great relationships with everyone in the Sacramento County Juvenile Dependency Court and child welfare, which was a huge asset for him to be able to pick up the phone and speak to other council or child welfare staff on a first name basis. Michael was professional, competent, and supportive. He was a pleasure to work with and absolutely worth the money! We’re so grateful for his service!
