I highly recommend the Foos Gavin law firm! Robert Carroll is an AMAZING attorney! Mr. Carroll listens attentively, acts quickly on time sensitive matters and treats his clients with respect. Foos Gavin is upfront about their fees and they are worth every penny. I have had some bad experiences with other attorneys not returning my calls or not filing court documents properly. I had some mental health issues during the pandemic. I was terrified when the police knocked on my door, a well meaning individual had reported that I might be a danger to myself or others. After my release from inpatient treatment, Mr. Carroll guided me through keeping my 2nd amendment rights. I had little understanding of California firearms laws related to mental health, Mr. Carroll thoroughly explained the laws in a way i could easily understand. Mr. Carroll correctly identified that although the police were involved, I was technically voluntary inpatient, not 5150'd and that there was no basis for restricting my right to own a gun. I 100% agree that a person's mental status should be evaluated when in question and that in some situations, that person should surrender their firearms.
