This review is for Ms Farooqi, who I had contacted due to a family member that had come in contact with the law. We visited the Law Office on a walk-in basis and were greeted warmly by a Receptionist, she referred us to Ms Farooqi, who took the time, and gave us a free consultation, she showed concern and compassion. Initially, I was extremely concerned, never having to consult an attorney for a criminal matter, so I was fearing the worst. Ms Farooqi's confidence and compassion brought the fear level down quite a bit, she explained the process and possible out comes which were acceptable, she also quoted us a fee for her services, which I believe was more than reasonable. Awaiting further hearings, my family member managed to get involved in another case, I immediately contacted Ms Farooqi who set up another consult and explained possible consequences, and that she would keep us as clients and would assist as much as possible, her fess did increase slightly, due to a new case, but again, I believe they were very reasonable due to the dilemma we were facing in court, again she was kind and caring, not judgmental or belittling. While my family member was in custody, COVID-19 struck, Courts and Jail Visiting were shut down, she kept me updated as to the status of the Courts and her staff would accept my calls if I had any questions, due to limited contact because of COVID-19, most business was conducted via telephone, if a staff member could not answer my questions or concerns, Ms Farooqi would personally contact me via telephone and inform me of any and all updates. Finally, when the courts were opened, with limited hearings (no family members allowed) Ms Farooqi was present at all hearings as promised, represented my family member and we were happy with the final outcome, she was able to get him released with time served and probation. Upon completion of the case, since I had a payment arrangement in place, with Ms Farooqi's office, I still owed an amount on the service's, Ms Farooqi waived the final payments and wished us well, Her compassion and warmth were quite reassuring, as well as her representation and professionalism, which I believe was Top Notch.

I can't say enough about Malalai! Got myself into a situation where I was looking at a substantial amount of prison time. Malalai never once judged me and she was very honest about the direction she wanted to go. She was my lawyer throughout this journey, the work she put in was unbelievable. She kept me updated and I always had access to her. She answered all of my ridiculous questions and continued to encourage me throughout. At one point Mal made me a promise, and she kept it! I never dreamed of the favorable outcome Mal was able to obtain for me. Mal gave me a chance at life again and the ability to gain all of my rights again. No jail time, 240 days suspended, with 3 years probation! My family and I owe Malalai everything! Having never been in the system, I was worried about at least getting a fair shake. Being a person of color during these trying times, it was refreshing having Mal fight for me. Malalai is an honest, caring, and hardworking lawyer who genuinely cares about her clients. Im sure coming from a diverse firm and background is what makes Mal special! Thank you so much Mal!

The ultimate outcome for any client is getting a case flat out “dismissed”, and that is exactly what Malalai was able to do for me. She communicated the scenario to the D.A. and negotiated and arranged an outcome that ended in a dismissal!

I can't thank Malalai enough for what she did for me. I had faced charges that were gonna forever haunt me and prevent me from doing a lot of things in my life. I'm 26 years old and I have a whole life to live with Malalai help i can actually live it now. She got all the charges taken off, it was the happiest day of my life. My nephew got himself into some legal trouble. This something new for my family and I. We didn’t know where to start or who to contact. I’m glad I contacted Mal. We met with her, and from that day she promised to work hard and get my nephew the best outcome. She did just that. After a few court dates, the original charge my nephew was facing was dropped. From the very start Scafiddi Law Firm & Malalai Farooqi put many of my worries aside through the assurance that they would do everything they could do reach the best possible outcome. I hired Ms. Farooqi to defend my son's DUI case. She was very energetic, detailed and knowledgeable. She had the experience and relationships necessary to communicate all of the concerns and issues with the DA. She put together a team and strategy that worked well for us. A very important factor was that she was accessible and responsive to all my questions and concerns. She was very professional.

Mal, was my attorney and I found her to be very thorough, professional, and she accomplished exactly what she said. When I first spoke with her on the telephone, she already had information that I did not know, nor did the any of the other attorneys I previously had consultations with; which is why I chose her, and I'm glad and thankful I made the right decision. In my lifetime of more than half a century, I have needed an attorney 3 times. The other 2 proved to be more expensive, less than honest and accomplished nothing. Mal is the only one that I would recommend to someone in need of legal advice and help!
