I hired him a few years ago. There was a lot of hidden assets he told me we would get in discovery . When we went to court he asked me if I minded waiting outside the courtroom because she my ex feared for her life. I thought it was odd but did it. When he came out he said for now I still had to pay 650 spousel support and if I sold the house I had to give her half and nothing would happen for a couple months to sign here. I didn't read what I signed I trusted him. A few days later he withdrew from being my attorney and I found out that was the final papers he had me sign. I got nothing after working fir 30 years

Mr. Montgomery is the best family law attorney in SB county. After a 10 year custody battle he was able to get me full custody of my 3 children. Absolutely amazing after two previous attorneys failed completely. He also cleared out my child support case with absolute precision. I was referred to him by my close friend who he also helped get full custody of his daughter. After being in court over 100 times (no exaggeration) I’ve seen pretty much every attorney in SB county family law. His rate is extremely fair and his ladies who run his office Leslie and Luvia are wonderful! I’ve sent him every person I know who has had issues after they hear my successful story. Give him a call if you’re a father struggling in this unfair court system! Edmund and his staff is A-1.

I wanted full custody and wanted to settle for 50/50 custody towards the end because I was tired of going to court . I ended up with 45% custody and I still have to pay child support when he promised to write something for me and said more than likely I wasn’t gonna pay anything. Mr. Montgomery had a chance to go against my ex without a layer and asked for an extension only because I had another case next door . Had we continued that day we would have won the case especially since my ex didn’t have the proper paper work and didn’t have a lawyer . He did however helped me beat a restraining order that my ex wanted permanently. Besides that I do not recommend this lawyer . Sorry Ed it’s been a few years now and I regret asking for your services .

I do not know how it is possible that this attorney has a rating of 10 on here. Mr. Montgomery managed to drag my divorce case on for 2 years! He was never available when I called. He had only 3 conferences with me in 2 years. He neglected to inform me of many court dates which I found out about after he had himself relieved as my council due to not being able to contact me since I moved. He did this on the same day as a custody hearing (which I was not aware of). Needless to say I lost custody of my son as a result. Mr. Montgomery did get the court to order fair child support and spousal support within a few weeks. The court also ordered my ex to pay my attorney's fees. However, when my ex failed to pay Mr. Montgomery's bill, he asked me to pay it on monthly payments. I reminded him that the judge ordered my ex to pay him and he told me that I could afford it now that he had gotten me more money in support. I told him that I use it to for rent and food. 2 months later I lost custody of my son. When I called his office and left a message that I'd be by to pick up my case file, I intentionally left only my name, no phone number. Early the next morning one of his office staff called my cell number to inform me that my file had been destroyed because I was no longer a client. My advice would be to stay far away from this attorney.

He prepared a agreement between my husband and me for a gift money from my parents. Very quick response and clear statement. He also taught me how to sign it to make it legal. Very patient and in detail. Great lawyer ever!

Eric Anderson is an OUTSTANDING attorney: knowledgeable, supportive, experienced, & hardworking. He agreed to represent me in an unusual legal matter where the odds of success were slim -- slim or not, Eric believed in me and my case. Despite the odds, he advocated vigorously on my behalf, both in court hearings and with opposing counsel outside the courtroom. Although I ultimately didn't get the outcome I'd hoped for, Eric was awesome to work with and I am grateful for his efforts on my behalf. I'd retain him again in a heartbeat! I highly recommend Eric Anderson without reservation to any potential client.

I loved everything about Eric! He was honest and upfront about our case and his fees. He was a breath of fresh air after dealing with many awful lawyers in the past.

Where do I begin? How about here!? If your reading this right now, you or a loved one have clearly landed in a legal position where you NEED to know that you have the greatest possible chance of a great outcome. Without a doubt, there isn't another attorney anywhere, no where, that will go to lengths that Aaron will to get you the best outcome possible. Aaron is well respected amongst all of his peers in the legal community, including prosecuting attorneys and judges. The respect he garners when he walks into courtroom is unfathomable. This is the kind of attorney that can get results others cannot, point blank period. I was facing several years in prison and Aaron achieved an outcome that I believed was impossible. If you or your loved one have found yourself in a deep deep hole that you don't think you are going to be able to out of, or need the greatest chance of getting out of, Aaron has the tools necessary to achieve the best possible outcome. In my eyes Aaron was nothing short of a miracle worker. NEED A MIRACLE? YOUR READING THE RIGHT REVIEW AND YOU HAVE FOUND THE RIGHT ATTORNEY! MOST LIKELY THE ONLY ONE WHO'S EITHER GOING TO SAVE YOU OR STAND THE BEST CHANCE OF DOING SO! SINCERELY FOREVER GRATEFUL CT

Aaron Turner comes highly recommended. His thorough, relentless pursuit of justice in my case was everything I prayed for. From the beginning, he took the matter into his hands and simply asked me to follow his lead and trust his guidance. We remained patient through Covid and when it came time to sit down with the DA regarding my case he went above and beyond to not only dig for the truth but present it on my behalf. The result: full dismissal with no prejudice! A true professional and tactical master of the law. I am truly thankful for the way he fought for justice in my case.

Adriane was my DUI Defence Lawyer. 1) Was pulled over for obstruction of licsence plate 2) I had open container 3) Officers made me take field beeathalizer out in field, against my request to give blood back at station..... blew .11 4) Blood test back at station.... .08 Adriane was very professional, knowledgeable and is not afraid to take the bull by the horns and fight for your rights! She is extremely thorough with all due diligence and is on top of all the latest laws when it comes to DUI Arrests. Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of San Bernardino, California?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
