I came to the Law Offices of Anna R. Yum with a pending felony charge. Over the course of eight months I worked with Julia Kaneshiro who was exceedingly responsive, capable, and knowledgable. She successfully negotiated my charge down to a misdemeanor with no probation time or fines and fees, and my charge is now eligible for expungement. Everyone I came into contact with at the firm was extremely kind and professional, and I would highly recommend them to anyone facing legal trouble.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Without any judgment, this incredible practice helped me out of a disaster. I am so grateful that I was able to have them work my case. Anna and her team are the best law firm around that i know of . Anna and her team got my charges dropped, they helped me when i really needed it , when my family needed it. I would personally recommend her law office to anyone looking for the best defense and professionalism , Thankyou Anna and leana and everone at Anna's law office you really are a blessing.

If i could give anna 6 stars i would. I found anna about three years ago when i fell into hands of the law. She guided me through the whole process when i didn't have anyone to run too. I was looking at some serious time and thinking of the absence of being away from my son was out of the question. I needed the best Attorney i could find. i put my whole life in her hands. I was looking at losing everything i worked hard for!! my house, my business!!! I wasn't the best at abiding by the laws of probation and thats when the justice system really got ahold of me. Anna was able to fight to get me off not 1, not 2, but 3 probation violations that i was found guilty of and was able to get me 6 days house arrest with no probation. Anna restored my life back to and made it so i could but the past to rest and look forward to the futures.... Thank you anna for everything that you've done. Your not just my lawyer!!!..... Your family.

Anna is literally the greatest and most thorough attorney in San Diego. She helped us win what seemed like an impossible case in which the burden of proof was incredibly low for the opposing counsel. She was thorough, aggressively defensive of our position, and extremely sensitive to the emotional roller coaster we were going through. It’s not only my opinion that her performance was amazing, her office has been voted into the Top 1% of attorneys for virtually every single year that she has been in private practice! Anna and her amazing staff were available to us whenever we needed them. I hope I never need an attorney again, but if I do, I won’t even have to research as I will be headed straight to Anna and her team. Do yourself a favor and call her office if you need legal help.

I never been In a situation where I needed a lawyer. I was upset nervous and not sure of what to do. Anna was able to explain things to me or I could understand them. If you’re looking for a really great lawyer Anna is a great choice. She listens to you and has compassion and will go to bat for you. Anna created a great outcome for my case I would highly recommend her.

Very nice woman, seems like she cares. She called me often, when I was searching for representation, once I officially hired her I rarely heard from her. She was non responsive at times and she was leading me down a path towards a conviction. If I would have stuck with her through trial, there is no doubt in my mind that I would have ended up with some sort of conviction on my record due to her lack of preparation in my case. It seemed as if she had a huge case load and did not spend enough time going over the fine details of each of her cases. She also wanted approximately 27k (pre-trial and trial fees) for her representation which would have led me to either jail time or a conviction. I did not go with her for trial and went with other representation, my new lawyers were able to work some magic and get the case dropped eventually. Anna didn't file any motions in my case, didn't fight certain charges at my preliminary hearing, and was unresponsive often when I would text/call her regarding my case. I am unable to recommend her as representation based off the experience that I had with her in my case. I have zero criminal record, never been arrested before, evidence in the case was in my favor, witnesses, video, and with all of that she was leading me down a path to a conviction due to her inability or unwillingness to spend the quality time she needs on each of her cases. From my perspective, it seems as if she was more concerned about obtaining high numbers on her case load to keep the money flowing in opposed to being concerned for each of her clients and providing them the best possible counsel. She didn't file any motions in my case (which my new lawyers filed several motions immediately upon hire), she did fight hard enough when the judge was clearly being biased, her ability to communicate effectively is subpar at best, she didn't review evidence in my case until a day or two before my court date and there was much more she didn't do. This is nothing personal against Mrs. Yum, this is just my personal experience with her as my representation. She also recommended a private investigator that she works with which I hired who was very similar within his inability to communicate effectively and cost me close to 1k. Mrs. Yum is a seemingly nice woman, but I am unable to recommend her as counsel. Anna if you truly care for the well-being of your clients then you’ll contact me directly oppose to posting a generic reply.

I had never needed a defense attorney before and needless to say, I was quite stressed out about what was to come. Anna and her co counsel did a great job of helping me understand what I was facing and how they would approach things. Anna was always very communicative with us when we had questions. She was very attentive to my case and was always straight with me about the possible outcomes. She didnt sugar coat things and that is what I needed. In the end, she was able to get me a good outcome to my case and she has been there with me through a couple follow up court appearances. I truly appreciate her hard work on my case

Well, I voluntarily decided to do some acutely absurd things, and yet, was spared a felony charge and a life of limited possibilities because of Anna Yum. Her process is quick in the way of efficiency. The pace at which she works does not impact her level of concern and service, it augments it. All of this speaks to her competence as a lawyer and her emotional intelligence as a person. If I would have to compare the services she provides to a fast food chain, I would say she is Chick-fil-A. Everybody loves Chick-fil-A. I would highly recommend you take these things into account.

I found Anna Yum through some intense research on google and yelp. I was looking for a dedicated attorney who knew how to do their job and someone who wouldn’t give me the run around. Before hiring Anna Yum to help me fight my case I have already called a few attorneys but they charge a consultation fee. Anna offers FREE consultation to really understand what you’re up against. Since working with Anna Yum and team, they have been very professional with meet ups and have been very attentive to their cases. I felt as thought I was always their priority and not just another case on the table. Through my experience with them every phone call was a relief to me. Without going into too much details about my case—no one should go through this alone and without someone who doesn’t know the ins and outs. Anna and her team went above and beyond for my family and I. I can’t thank them enough for their time and efforts.

If you're going through court proceedings and need a criminal defense attorney, spend the money and get a lawyer, and not just any lawyer, get Anna. I can't recommend Anna enough. I had spoken to about a dozen attorneys in the county regarding criminal defense when I was looking for a lawyer to represent me and none of them were as knowledgeable as she is. I was fully comfortable speaking with her regarding the situation I was in and what I was facing in court. While going through one of the most difficult times in my life, she was able to help me understand what it all meant. She made sure to take the time to fully explain the process I was going through and any options I may have. In my experience with lawyers many of them are impatient, don't listen, or just looking for billable hours, but not Anna. She really cares about her clients and I've directly referred other people to her because of how well she represented me. Even well after the court proceedings were over and all my obligations to the court were finished, Anna and her firm continued to reach out to me to make sure I was doing well and to see if I had any further questions regarding greater matters that had been affected by my legal issues. All-in-all, if not for Anna I would have been in a much worse position legally and mentally. She's highly qualified, cares about her cases, and well worth the money. She has my highest recommendation.
