This is the best law firm in San Diego for a reason. I was lucky to have my case picked up by the Gomez Trial Attorneys after I was struck by a car while crossing the street. This was an unexplainably painful time in my life, and, as a 22 year old college student, I did not know what to do. I met Max Halpern, who is the lawyer that represented my case, a week later. Growing up I never had to experience any type of lawsuit and didn’t know much about the legal process. It was in the early 2000’s that a family member was sued in San Francisco. My relatives lawyer then seemed unconcerned of her emotional well being and also charging a large fee. Her lawyer then told her to sell her property and move back into her old house, which was the basis of the lawsuit. Only to tell her that she should settle out of court and pay the plaintiffs off. The lawyer was not an experienced trial lawyer and just wanted to make sure he was paid off by my relative and had no intentions to go to court and fight for her. Because of this experience I was cautious of lawyers. 10 years later…. I find myself in a lawsuit that I would not wish my worst enemy would have to go through. It was the most traumatic experience of my life. This time my home was in jeopardy because of greed from ones that I thought that Loved me and I them. It is sad when money and greed tears apart a family. It is also of great sadness when Loved ones take advantage of a relative with Alzheimers and dementia, to use that sick person against the very ones they lived and provided for.
