I reached out to four other lawyers about my case who said it wasn’t worth pursuing. This firm was the last firm I had reached out to and told me I already knew it wasn’t worth it, but they asked for my story anyway. Cecilia responded with such passion, compassion and empathy. From that point on, she was unbelievable!!! I could go on for a long time about all the small and big things she and her team did to make this settlement so smooth, quick and stress-free. But I’ll leave it at this: if you want someone who is in the business to actually help people and does a great job doing so, Cecilia is a no-brainer! I call her one of my miracles of 2022!

I worked with Cecilia Brennan from HKM to review and negotiate some employment contracts I was given by a prospective employer. She was amazing from beginning to end, even though the entire process took a few months. Cecilia helped translate the obscure legalese of the contract into layman’s terms, and made great suggestions for how it could be changed to be more favorable for me. The billing was fair, the process was transparent, scheduling was easy, and I am happy with the results - what else more can you ask for? I recently had the pleasure of being helped by Cecilia Brennan of HKM in San Diego. Cecilia was flat out great! I needed someone to review a separation agreement received from my company to determine if it the terms were fair. I also needed someone to evaluate potential areas of discrimination. First, Cecilia helped me manage the time I had contracted with HKM by breaking it up into short session so I would get the maximum use of the time I paid for. She then reviewed the document and gave me tips on areas that potentially were areas of discriminations. She also identified sections of the agreement I should redline to insure mutuality. Finally, she helped me self advocate for a better agreement financially. The end result was a 138% increase in the settlement offer! I am sure there are other people and companies out there that would charged a high price and in the end left me with nothing to smile about. Cecilia was not one of those people. BTW, besides providing great counsel, she is very calming and nice person too. I highly recommend Cecilia Brennan!

When choosing an attorney it's so important to find someone you have rapport with, who listens, who understands what you experienced, and who can reassure you through the process. Cecilia was always available, always honest, set realistic expectations, and held my hand through the legal process as it was my first time in this type of situation. She was always positive, a delight to speak with, and most importantly to many she responded every time I reached out!
