Typically I don't write reviews, but it was hard to find an attorney, and I think my experience might be helpful to others. I hired Contreras Law, particularly with Dolores Contreras and Anna Encinias, to help me with my divorce. They were always respectful towards me, gave me complete honestly, and helped me understand the whole process. The most important aspect from the whole experience is that I felt that they really cared. They always answered my calls, reassured me when I was stressed out, and answered any questions or concerns no matter how simple or complex. I can't thank them enough for being there through such a hard time. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

This attorney and her office did the worst job and was detrimental in my case. I had to get advice from several accountants, business and tax attorneys while she was still retained and when I mentioned to them what was going on, several asked "Are you sure this person has a law degree? What she is doing doesn't make sense." She is very unprofessional. She over promises, under delivers and blames the client when she does not work for them. It cost me two years and over a hundred thousand dollars to get... nothing. When I hired a new attorney, my files from her office were missing and tampered with. I have dozens of nasty and disrespectful emails from her I would be happy to share with anyone interested. Don't walk--RUN>

I can't say enough great things about Gregory. I interviewed several lawyers in order to pick one for my case. He brings the experience of being a former police officer of 14 years, and a former ADA of Riverside County for 10 years. Also, he has specialized in firearm law for 15 years, and has been in private practice here in San Diego for 5 years. He is a highly knowledgeable and effective attorney. We prevailed in the case we had against the California Superior Court in San Diego. I would confidently hire him again and recommend him to everyone that has a case involving firearms.

Greg recently handled a case for my son. Unfortunately, this was not the first time my son had a run in with the police. Our first experience with a different lawyer was confusing, I couldn't get direct answers, there was barely any communication, and we ended up accepting a plea that was not clearly explained to us. The experience with Greg was quite different to my amazement! My son, his father, and myself were kept up to speed every detail of my son's case. Greg's office provided case summaries to us via email and he personally called my son to discuss every negotiation with the district attorney. Greg was empathetic to our situation and understanding when negotiating a plea. As a mother, it was so difficult going through the court process and being so afraid of the outcome my 18 year old could have to face. Greg explained all the ramifications of the plea in plain English rather than 'attorney' and 'law' talk. We were thoroughly educated and clearly knew exactly what each part of the plea entailed. He was by my son's side every step of the way! I was and AM truly amazed by his services and HIGHLY recommend him if you have a criminal case you are facing.

To begin, I had a little run up with the law my senior year of high school. Six months later I got surprised with a letter in the mail regarding my arraignment date for a pretty severe felony, though the crime itself wasn't bad enough to be considered a felony, which would ruin my chances of obtaining a license to practice real estate. He turned the would have been felony into a deserved misdemeanor and infraction, all while reducing infraction and misdemeanor fines! It was a huge success! We found Garrison on the internet, the fact that he is a former District Attorney and has extensive knowledge in that arena showed me he had what it takes for my case. .
