Several years ago I was in a serious car accident that caused me numerous injuries and a chronic debilitating medical condition. I spent several years with another attorney working on my case, getting minimal movement, feeling very much out of the loop about my case, and never received a settlement offer from the other drivers insurance company (after the admitted liability) besides the initial small sum offered a few weeks after the accident. I had no experience working with lawyers, but feeling uncomfortable with the situation I decided to contact Gomez Trial Attorneys and consider making a change in representation. That was the best decision I ever made. Everything that had bothered me about my previous representation, Victoria and Russell (the two attorneys the primarily worked on my case I had direct contact with), proved to be the polar opposite. They were kind, personable, clearly incredibly competent, and demonstrated right out the gate extreme dedication to my case and belief that my hardships should be fairly compensated. From the moment I first met with them to discuss my case, I knew I was in good hands, and my anxiety about the process evaporated. My instincts proved correct. They handled my case incredibly well, keeping me constantly in the loop, responding to every question/email I had (of which there were MANY over the course of my case), and going to bat for me against the insurance company with every move they made. When I was forced to go to a hostile exam from the defendants "expert" doctor, they sent one of their staff members with me, to help me get through the experience with as little anxiety as possible, and support me. Although I was terrified of the idea of going to court (having seen one too many movies about the court process and aggressive/hostile defense attorneys), Victoria and Russ helped ease my fears, while helping me prepare for trial with a realistic and calmer outlook. They assured me throughout the process I should get a fair result, and they were willing to proceed to trial in order to make sure I got that, if necessary. My case ended up settling about one week before my trial date, with a result that was better than I had ever hoped for, and I am absolutely certain this was due to the dedication, hard-work, and thorough preparation, that Victoria and Russell put into my case. And almost most importantly for me, even after my case had settled, Victoria and Russell contacted me multiple times to congratulate me and check up on me, and demonstrated once again, what caring and decent people they are even after my case was over. My experience is probably different than most of the other reviews. It's because I work for GTA. Two and a half years ago I approached John Gomez with the desire to change the world and make a difference. He literally said "why change the world when you can change your own backyard." He shared with me his vision for the firm and offered me a position as the Director of Outreach. I don't know of any other law firm that has a person dedicated to the community. My position allows the other attorneys and legal staff the opportunity to focus on their clients and still be involved with different organizations, foundations or charities. I write this review to share with the world how special GTA truly is. Not only do they care about their clients but the community as well. Many employees volunteer their time or ideas and make my job very fun and fulfilling. There is something special about that place. Whether someone is a client, a co-worker or a friend, GTA has a family feel. I see the behind the scenes of this law firm and I'm proud to be part of such a smart, hard-working and caring team. I am very happy that I chose Gomez Trial Attorneys to represent me. Just finished settling a personal injury case caused by getting rear ended in my car which resulted in an extensive knee surgery. I tried to get the insurance company to settle without lawyers and they made many promises even sending letters that they were going to make me an offer. Before I knew it a year & half passed and no offer came ... I asked a good friend of mine whose husband is a lawyer for a recommendation & she highly recommended John Gomez of John Gomez Trial Attorneys. She said he won her a very large award for her accident which caused her to need a double level spinal fusion & left her in chronic pain. The award he won her gives her security for her future as her injury is partially disabling. I then hired GOMEZ Trial Attorneys and am glad I did. I feel John Gomez & his team did a thorough job of representing me & won me a settlement that gives me some security in my future, especially as all Doctors on both sides agreed I will need a knee replacement in the next few years. John Gomez may look sharp & have beautiful offices but unlike most lawyers he is a compassionate & ethical man in regards to his clients & while negotiating for his clients he is a shark that will fight for them. Hopefully this will be my last accident & injury but if not I would definitely use this firm again and recommend them highly. Thank you John

The Gomez Firm was especially good to me. They are very professional and very sensitive to my particular situation. Everyone we spoke to was extremely helpful and so nice. Over a 4 year period they continued to be very empathetic. They were easy to contact and always responsive. I was never intimidated or felt that they were too busy to help me.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I contacted this firm because I had questions regarding my son's accident. Two women called me on a speaker phone and just told me about themselves but told me I had a very good case. They wanted to get started immediately. I explained I had to speak to my husband first before agreeing to anything, and they said that was okay. My son later that day got moved into ICU and that was my first priority. I called a few days later and left a message for the attorney to call me back. I later had someone call from their office asking if I still wanted representation. I explained I had questions and needed to understand more of their process and I had never gotten a call back. I never heard back and so I called someone else who was so professional and nice. Later I received an email from this firm stating they could not take my case. I am guessing because I would not jump when they snapped their fingers. Be weary of this firm or any that will not take the time to answer your questions or explain things to you. In my opinion, these are ambulance chasers and do not have your best interest at heart.
