Jonathan Brenner has been in San Diego for 30 years, is well known and very highly regarded in the Southern California legal community. He has vast experience as a litigator, and he brings to mediation a well-informed and practical awareness of what happens in the courtroom. I have taken commercial, insurance, business lit and tort matters to him, and he facilitated resolution of all but one of those cases. He is sincere in his approach, but not silly or overly sympathetic. He is authoritative, but not pushy. He is thoroughly aware of the mediator's job, and he performs his role in an effective, efficient and encouraging fashion. If you are looking for a mediator willing to spend time and effort to get a case to resolution, Brenner is an excellent choice.

I have had the pleasure of working with Jon in both his capacity as a Mediator and Attorney over the last 15 years. He is excellent in both capacities. I have used John Brenner as a mediator at Judicate West for multiple personal injury cases over the years. He has great intuition and analytical ability which helps him to effectively settle cases. As is true with most very experienced mediators, he is able to quickly absorb the facts and legal issues at play. What sets John apart from other mediators is his willingness and patience to recognize the underlying issues flowing beneath the surface of the cases that often make or break negotiations. John is also extremely patient but assertive. Some mediators are either complete pushovers or short tempered and bullish.
