Communication with Mellman & Mellman was quick and everyone in their office is highly knowledgeable and professional, each team member graciously helped me with my case. They helped me view and stick to the big picture. I felt comfortable during the whole process, definitely recommend to anyone who needs guidance.

I am very glad I contacted Juanita when I did. There was a legal matter I had been dealing with on my own for some time and it was getting exhausted. Initially, I was not sure which area of law applied to my situation and it took a bit of research to clarify it was a civil law issue. Ultimately, I needed a lawyer to decipher a legal form I received that contained tons of vague language. After receiving referrals, I reached out to a few attorneys to discuss details. The others did not “feel right” or did not fully inspire confidence. Juanita was the most professional, accessible, personable, to the point and heard me out. And best of all, she helped me resolve a legal matter that was starting to drag out. She was prompt to read the document, explain what it said, and clarified the language so that it was specific. I would work with Juanita again (although I hope I am not in a predicament where I need a lawyer again!) and would recommend her to family and friends.

I hired Juanita when my property manager invalidated the 60 day notice given to the tenants by extending the move out date without a signed agreement. I called two other attorneys who not only insulted me but scared me to believe I would have to pay the tenants to move out. When I called Juanita, she was calm, took the time to confirm my property was AB 1482 exempt, and provided me with a recommended course of action for a timely move out by the tenants without having to pay the tenants. Juanita always responded promptly to my many questions. I am thankful Juanita took on my case as there are not many attorneys who would represent landlords.

Juanita and her team are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, especially for folks like us that have never really had to seek counsel from an attorney before. They have helped us get together on our life planning as well as disputes. Juanita was also very clear about expectations and likely outcomes and answers our dumb questions in an easily explained way. Definitely recommending and will come back for any other needs.

Juanita was helpful to us in resolving our issue with a large apartment company. We had issues with noise and the apartment management was not taking us seriously with our issue. This a great Firm for Restraining Orders and Family Law issues. After spending two weeks of unsucessfully trying to find a responsive firm for my Elder Abuse Restraining Order defense, this firm responded quickly, was attentive, provided a reasonable fee stucture up front, and worked quickly and diligently on my case, included me in the drafting process of court submitted documents, won my case at trial, and received leave from the Court to file for Atty fees. Highly Recommend!

It’s hard to find an honest lawyer that’s genuinely willing to help you. Juanita Guillén Mellman helped my mother and I when another lawyer had stolen out money and never showed up to court, the case had been closed and it wasn’t easy to work on. My husband and I found this firm by chance. They were great for advice and handling all paperwork for our small claims against our former tenants. We also heard they handle wills / trusts and will hopefully be able to use them for that as well.
