Dan is unbelievable in his preparation and diligence. I hired him because the ex-wife took me back to court to try to get more alimony. He really made the opposing attorney (and my ex) look foolish to the point where I (almost) felt bad for them. We won hands down. I would ABSOLUTELY hire him again.

Dan always answers the phone and is continually current on all of the changing laws. He was there through my divorce and years later on a couple of secondary custody and spousal issues - all resolved. He truly cares and has empathy for what his clients are going through while still seeing both sides and how things may affect third parties.

Here's how good Dan was in helping me with my divorce settlement: By the end of the process, my ex was recommending Dan to her friends. (He was so much better than her lawyer.) Dan helped me navigate a tricky divorce settlement that involved a lump-sum alimony payment that came out of a retirement account. He was knowledgeable, strategic, always available and prompt. In short, when he said he was going to do something, he did it. Every time. I would not hesitate to recommend him in the future.

Dan is the best lawyer to have in such a difficult situation as is a divorce. He has the perfect personality to deal with clients varying emotional ups and downs that we go through during divorce. He just has this very calming demeanor! I couldn't have had a better lawyer!

Mr. Sweeney responded immediately with high quality and full understanding of the issues; while geographically inconvenient for appearances, he gave top-notch advice and offered referrals to attorneys with whom he had worked successfully in my area, including making himself available for bouncing ideas without being on the meter.
