Mr. Knowlton was an excellent choice for an attorney to handle my divorce. He prepared me, educated me on the process and was available every step of the way. My case involved some complexity with a definite power and financial imbalance because I was a stay at home mother. I was pleased to discover that his 30 plus years of experience and expertise as a family law attorney quickly leveled the playing field against the other side. I was able to trust Dan and know that he always had my children and my own best interest in mind. After the divorce was finalized we all came out okay even now are amicable and successful co-parents. He is wonderful!! I highly recommend him!

I recently hired attorney Dan Knowlton to assist me with a prenuptial agreement. He was friendly, affordable, responsive, and knowledgeable about family law in California. He was more than willing to explain things to me simply, and when I asked a tough question, he took time to research the answer. I was very happy with his services and would use him again, should I need family law assistance.

I will be honest and say that my client relationship with Mr. Knowlton is fairly new as I just recently retained him to represent me in my divorce case. However, that being said here are my observations in him thus far, most of the time if not always has answered his phone which can be a common problem amongst attorneys, I had been going back and forth with him telephonically in preparing the territory for my divorce for about a year now as I knew it was not a matter of "if " but only a matter of when my divorce would take place and all through out that time I always remember him answering his phone or returning my call within an hour max. Finally after speaking to various attorneys I decided to go in for a consultation. During our consultation I found him to be extremely knowledgeable and experienced in family law. Unlike other attorneys I had interviewed, he was very attentive and not negative at all, he heard me out with great patience and did not cut me off nor interrupt me once and gave me the impression of a "roll up your sleeves and get to work" type of Attorney. Additionally, he reviewed all my paperwork carefully without rushing through it and made various detailed observations. He did not try to find short cuts or ways to get out of executing any necessary work but was more then willing to get the job done in my complex case. I also found him to be very wise and something that is unheard of, especially amongst most Attorneys, COMPASSIONATE!!! Being an Attorney is not just filing petitions or filing motions particularly in Family Law, it is so important for us consumers to have an Attorney who is neutral to the situation while being compassionate to the families involved something which I found him to be thus far. Furthermore, I found him to be VERY professional and straight forward in answering all my questions and going over our retainer contract, no games or hidden fees, everything pretty straight forward and last but certainly NOT least without disclosing numeric figures, let's just say he was extremely reasonable and affordable , I found his fees to be yielding to my circumstance as a struggling mom going through a harsh and complicated divorce. Finally, although he is very proper and polite that is not to be mistaken for a push over. Unfortunately for me, the opposing party's Attorney is a nightmare and a fuming out of control woman and a person of not much character nor integrity but my attorney for sees no problem in taking her on and quite confident about handling these type of Attorneys. As my case advances I will continue to provide a most recent review of my experience with my new Attorney on this case in hopes that all goes well. Sincerely, a Relieved and content client and "mom".
