Shana J.Black and her experienced heart truly epitomize"the promise of a new and better day",,,for those who come to her ,like myself, there is a feeling of unweighted shoulders ,strong and driven resolution without ever leaving in despair..My case was well past my comprehension to handle alone.can't imagine ever going it alone ..or with anyone else...plan to pack your caseload in the outbox ..top to bottom ,she's that amazing!!!!!

I am not sure who she paid to write the reviews she has on google, but they couldn't be farther from the truth. My simple divorce (we have come up with our own agreements ect.) has taken over 1 year and a half and still isn't done because I can't get her to call or email me back. She took my money two April's ago and then took 3 months to return my call again. Now that I am trying to get a new attorney she will not sign our Substitution papers, which will cost me I don't know how much more money and time. PLEASE DO NOT put yourself through dealing with her lies and un-professionalism. Divorce is hard enough.

Avoid this attorney if you value professional conduct and ethical behavior. This woman is out for your money first and foremost. She doesn't follow through on promises and is not dependable. I suggest you look elsewhere if you don't want to spend thousands of dollars in vain.

Shana J Black has been my attorney for over a year and worked very hard in my case. Our case was difficult being that it was a move away, but I have to give it to Shana she fought hard and we won. If anyone is looking for an attorney that will work hard for their client be it they move out of state or not, Shana J Black is who I would recommend to anyone.

I don’t even where to begin! Going to this office for my car accident was the best decision I made. Being in a car accident is a stressful situation to begin with, but being in hit and run is even more stressful. Sammy and his office has helped me overcome this stressful situation and they got me compensated. I can’t express how grateful I’m for them!

What can I say about Ms. Shana Black ? First I will give a little back ground on my situation, I moved to San Diego in 2008 with my 2 kids and a husband that was and is still active duty military. Shortly after moving to CA. several close family members died within months of each other, while dealing with that I was also going back and forth back to GA. to their funerals, my then husband was having an affair that I had no clue he was involved in, the kids and I ended up having no place to live in CA. because he told the military he wasn't living in military housing anymore with his family so they called me and said my kids and I had 2 weeks to get out. I received no help from my ex-husband nor from the military. I called his commander and I quote he told me "you and your kids need to get back to your home state the best way you can", I was pretty much forced to get a divorce because my then husband had already moved in with this other person while we were still married. Knowing I didn't have money for a lawyer I went through Navy Legal to help me long story short we went through the divorce procedure without a lot of drama, neither one of us showed up in court with lawyers because everything was agreed on. To my surprise and disbelief within the year 1/2 of divorce he goes and hires a lawyer to have the original decree redone. He has caused a lot of drama and confusion not only in my life but for our kids also, this is where Ms. Black enters into my life. One day surfing the web for divorce lawyers it became so overwhelming because the ones I did talk to were quoting these crazy retainer fees, Ms. Black website appears and I am one of those people who actually read what people are saying, it seemed to me that all the reviews were very positive and that she really cared about the people she represented. I got her number and I called, I was so nervous because I knew I didn't have a lot of money and I already convinced myself that nobody was going to help me because I was only this stay at home military wife/stay at home mother. Well Ms. Black answers and we ended up talking which seemed like a long time, she wasn't rushing me off the phone at all, after that conversation Ms. Black and I didn't talk to each other for awhile because I thought all divorce matters were settled so I didn't have Ms. Black in court with me. Well after his new antics by hiring a lawyer I contacted Ms. Black and told her what was going on and I asked her if I needed her would she represent me and she said yes. The court date came I was having so much anxiety my ex-husband and his lawyer were like 2 bullies, I called Ms. Black the day of court and I told her I was scared to go into court by myself, I honestly thought the judge was going to look at me and say I was just a military wife who stayed home taking care of her kids and I thought she would grant everything in his favor because of his military status. Ms. Black said to me without hesitation I will be there don't worry, I swear when she walked up to me it was like an angel from heaven was placed in front of me, Ms. Black walked in the courtroom with so much confidence and stunned my ex and his lawyer, she was able to get me a continuance so she could put my case together. Court day came Ms. Black exposed my ex-husband in a lot of his lies right in front of the judge, she made me feel at ease by saying I was going to be okay just relax, well everything she has told me from the first conversation to the last court appearance has been all true and I am happy to say that things have worked in my favor. I would surely tell anybody if you want a lawyer who knows her "stuff" and isn't money hungry like some lawyers in San Diego this is the lawyer for you. Ms. Black has been a HUGE blessing to me and I thank God for her, my ex-husband is at it again after just being in court again last June with more confusion, Ms. Black once again is here for me and working on my case and I feel with her by my side things will be okay.

Did not meet expectations dealing with child support and visitation that we were trying to change. Did not come prepared to court. Was not responsive when called and would only take text messages with delay on reply as well. Once court was done, did not help prepare paperwork for judge to sign, my ex spouse’s lawyer had to draft up the paperwork. Not even a call after court was done.

Shana is great and I would highly recommend. She has helped throughout the whole process of obtaining custody. I would definitely suggest hiring her as a lawyer

And she’s always there when you need her, even when you least expect it. At the end of the day, hiring her as my lawyer was honestly the best decision I’ve made for myself. Wouldn’t have it any other way.
