I highly recommend Attorney John T. Sylvester of the Law Offices of David C. Beavans, APC to all those who are considering an appeal of a Court ruling. My name is Brian and I represented Dr. Ed Siegel as a volunteer campaign manager in an unsuccessful bid for Solana Beach City Council in 2016. My candidate lost and later turned against me when we were both served legal complaints with a combined amount of $25,000,000. The defamation lawsuit was initiated by two council members and a developer and derived from an article titled, "Shady Business on the Solana Beach Train Tracks," boldly stating the council members and developer (now plaintiffs) were jointly involved in a backdoor deal. The developer made a $1.15 M donation to Solana Beach's Gateway Park and in return was awarded a project which could exceed $100 M. John Sylvester has worked diligently to defend my First Amendment rights and have made every effort to see that my case is supported in the matter it should be. I'm very thankful to have John on my team and would recommend his services in a heartbeat.

John Sylvester represented me for both my child custody/visitation and child support cases. Mr. Sylvester was the upmost professional and always had my best interest with all the proceedings. John Sylvester was my divorce attorney last year, he also handled the custody and child support cases. He is very professional, honest, timely, thorough, and organized. The process was very stressful, and the case took a few unexpected twists and turns. During these times, I was always advised on which options I had, and what those options would entail (cost, court, time, etc). We had to go to court numerous times, and each time, it was very obvious that Mr. Sylvester was prepared, well spoken, direct, and respected by the judge. I felt like all my questions were always answered, no matter how trivial or silly they might have seemed at the time. Initially, a worrisome ordeal regarding custody seemed to be confusing and grim was at hand. John was able to provide clear, and concise advise. He was able to speak to me as a regular person, while also being very professional. He provided a game plan, but also kept expectations very honest. Of course, in any situation, it would be preferable to not pay, but with John, your money is put to work. I am recommending a dear friend who is seeing the same issue, and will hope that John is able to continue his great service.

John went well above and beyond for my horrendous and bizarre case. I was blown away from the very first briefing he filed! He's extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Hello Avvo, I would just like to write a review in regards to my experiences with Mr. John T. Sylvester. John assisted us in a family matter as a family member was going through a divorce. At this present time we are nearing the end of the road in terms of the last pieces of paperwork officially wrapping up. John has been our attorney from the start and we have been on quite a journey for this last year or so. Divorce is never easy but John and his office make the process as seamless and as easy as can be. He is fully honest about the process from the start which is one of the most important things you need to look for in choosing how to proceed with sensitive matters like this. He is highly skilled, very intelligent, and well spoken. In addition to that, he has great communication skills and we all know how critical and valuable that is these days.
