I had the pleasure of working with Puja, before I talked to her I interviewed other attorneys in the city. I reached out to her office and I was helped right way; within minutes I received a form I needed to complete before my initial consultation in order to make the meeting more efficient. I met Puja and I she put me at ease. Her welcoming demeanor, her smile and her full attention made me feel good about working with her. Dealing with family court is stressful and having someone on your side who is knowledgeable, responsive, and sensitive to the situation is a MUST. Working with the Sachdev Legal Group was the breath of fresh air that I needed. After working with a large law firm that was the least bit compassionate about my needs and helping me as a client, I let them go and I found Puja and her team online and read her reviews and her teams bio. They say people don't care about how much you know they just want to know that you care. When I say caring, I mean caring, when I say compassionate, I mean compassionate, when I say real, upfront, and honest, I mean it. Puja told me things to help me and she was real about the process. She answered all of my questions even if I did not like the answer because it was based on the Law. What I appreciate about her team is that she was not the least bit worried about her pocket book as much as she was about helping me. From the minute I met Puja, I knew I wanted to work with her. I met other attorneys before meeting with her and no one came close. She listened very carefully, she asked the right questions, and she got to know the case and she represented my interests to the court. My case was extremely difficult and she always remained calmed and confident. She is very knowledgeable and very patient. Dealing with divorce, custody, visitation, etc, etc, is never easy but having someone on your side who CARES is very crucial. I never thought I would need full representation. I thought we could be amicable, and I'm savvy, I'll just fill everything out on my own. When it comes to divorce it's impossible to really know how someone will act and unfortunately my ex retained an attorney first, forcing me to do the same. I totally thought I wanted a male attorney and so I spoke with probably five, meeting several in person. I just didn't get a sense that they were going to fight for me. I expanded to females and spoke with a couple more. Both just felt meh.. when you are going through something so painful you really need to work with someone you feel comfortable with. I contacted Puja's office based on her previous AVVO reviews and right after our consultation I just knew. It was literally the best decision I made. First off, she's personable which is really something when it comes to an attorney, she's responsive, understanding, and let's you drive while guiding you towards the best possible outcome. My situation turned ugly so fast that I absolutely needed someone who would not back down, and was always one step ahead. Although it was emotionally the most difficult situation I've ever gone through, and I spent more than I ever expected..there was peace of mind. Sometimes that's more important in the long run. I would absolutely recommend Puja and her team to anyone.

In a process often mired with delays and personality conflict, Puja's professionalism and timeliness stands apart. My divorce was mired in financial vagaries that made one want to pull out hair, but Puja did not get "scared away" by the math, and formulated a robust, multi-pronged approach to a complex property settlement. Her responses to discovery and all the court hearings were thorough and timely. Her staff and colleagues are also phenomenal - I can't recommend this office highly enough.

It's hard to "review" someone who has helped you though such a tumultious time, because at the end of the day these ladies are my heroes. There may be other options out there, but I honestly wouldn't recommend anyone other than Puja and Andrella for the job. Their team was always there for me, even when I thought the sky was falling, they picked me back up and made sure everything was going to be ok. Not only did they have my best interest at heart, but they never put, or let me put, my daughter's best interest aside (even though there are times I wanted her all to myself). Going through a divorce is hard enough and when you add a child into the mix, it can be devastating for everyone involved. Puja and Andrella understand the emotions and worked with me at my pace to make the process as seamless as humanly possible. There were times Puja had to be the mediator between myself and my spouse, so we didn't tear each other apart, because she knew we had a young daughter who would remember how we treated each other. Some days I would bring my computer and work out of her conference room, just so I could be around people and not curl up into a ball and cry all day long. Puja even gave me a ton of extra moving boxes she had from her recent move so I didn't have to buy any when I was packing up my place. To say that Puja and Andrella "care" about their clients is a total understatement. They love what they do and it comes acoss in their level of dedication to their clients, and as a former client I can say that I felt loved. Andrella and Puja are incredible negotiators and were able to get me everything I asked for and a very resonable custody arragement that would be in everyone's best interest. I never thought I would need their services, but when I did, I'm so glad I found this team of amazing lawyers who gave me so much to work with for the next chapter of my life.
