I highly recommend Scott Templeton at SD Elder Law Center. He has helped us to discuss care and considerations for my aging mother in law with dementia, as well as helping us with our own estate and trust. We just finished reviewing our family trust and will and POAs with Scott Templeton at SD Elder Law Center. Scott was wonderfully patient and reviewed all of my many questions, explained the "legalese" required in these documents and all of the many ways in which he worded the trust to protect us and enable us the freedom to do what we will want to do with our money in the future, but reassuring us that the money will be there for our daughter, my mother in law who has dementia and lives with us, as well as discussed ways to help to ensure my nephew with special needs is cared for as well. Ours is not a simple scenario and he considered everything we told him in the pre-meetings and created a solid trust for us that I know will help us and our family when it is needed. Unlike many lawyers, he considers the many "what ifs" and ensures there are back ups to our first choices in case something happens. He has seen things go to trial or end up in probate that would not have if the trust or will had been better written or considered the "what ifs".

Elderly Law Center, did a awesome job helping my mother-in-law out not only with setting up her living trust but also with assisting her with some very complex legal property matters after the loss of her husband. Their fees for the services rendered are both fair and reasonable! She never felt taken advantage of nor did she note any frivolous charges on her billing statements (I cant say that about my personal experiences with other law firms!) Carly (Attorney)and Rosaland "Roz" (paralegal) are a dynamite TEAM! Very professional yet also very personable! I highly, recommend the Elder Law Center ,you wont be disappointed!

I highly recommend using San Diego Elder Law Center. My experience was 100% positive, and I have referred family and acquaintances to their law firm. Some background on my choosing San Diego Elder Law Center (SDELC). Before I utilized their services, I had used two separate law firms for my Aunt's and Mom's estates. Both previous law firms were perfunctory in their services. At the time, I did not realize that their efforts were minimal in compared to SDELC. In 2018, due to a very complex estate issue due to a terminally ill family member, we decided to schedule appointment was with SDELC. After our initial consult,with Adam Juel, Esq. and assistance from Paralegal Liz Lockwood, it was evident that this law firm was in our corner and that they were in a class by themselves! We had such a positive experience that in 2021 we decided to use San Diego Elder Law Center to update our family trust. We feel confident that our new trust is comprehensive and will make it easier for our family members in the future. I rarely write reviews, but I made an exception in the case for the services of the San Diego Elder Law Center. This firm is clearly head and shoulders above previous law firms, and their prices are fair for the comprehensive services that they provide.

My family had been on the convalescent roll a coaster for months. My experience placing my mom in long term care has been a real eye opener. Mr. Juel was kind, understanding and accommodating to our special situation. His paralegal, Ms. Lewis was so patient and compassionate with me. Their level of professional was superb.

Scott Templeton and Liz Lockwood are absolutely terrific at helping ordinary people (like my family) navigate the complex laws and rules that govern MediCal and MediCare. In my mother's case, they have been devoted, tireless, and immensely tactful in helping my family and my 96 year old mother figure out ways to keep her safe and comfortable. We couldn't possibly have found a smarter or more passionate set of advocates for her welfare. They are kind, polite, prompt in their communications, and both possess excellent senses of humor. These situations at the end of life are wrenching--no one understands this more than Scott and Liz--and whenever I talked to them for their advice, they were lucid, superbly well-informed, and canny in how they guided us through a morass of paperwork, laws, and future concerns. I can't recommend Scott and Liz and the Law Center strongly enough! They've been superb in every way.
