Preston Estate Planning staff made it so easy to get my trust set up for my Daughters. Jennifer was very helpful always. The Notary Publics were very professional. I highly recommend this firm.

For various reasons our parents needed their original (inexpensive, quick and dirty) trust redone, and the first (expensive) place we tried found so many errors that needed correcting, their entire trust needed rewriting! Later, we discovered that the costly re-write turned out to also have contradictions and errors, either not found, or introduced during the re-write. Errors such as failing to include standard clauses that would have let our children inherit if we predeceased our parents! My older brother did a lot of research on where to get our parents trust properly corrected once and for all, and Preston Estate Planning was recommended by several of his friends. We gave them a try, and the results were everything that should have been done by the first 2 companies. My brother and I had our individual family trusts done by Preston, and have always felt we had great results. This was verified for me a couple of years ago when my wife received a small but complex inheritance from her family's convoluted interlocking family/business trusts. Our tax accountant recommend we hire an independent attorney to review the trusts distributing my wife's inheritance, as well as our own trust from Preston, to avoid complications or unforeseen tax issues.The independent attorney verified that our trust from Preston was in good shape, requiring only minor additions to include the inheritance and make sure it was listed as community property in the trust rather than separate, if that was our wish! We learned from the above experiences: Trust and Estate plans are too important to be done casually or at the lowest possible cost! We would have saved a lot of time and money if our parents had done more research, and if we had been more diligent choosing the first trust re-write group! Like everything else in life, Preston Estate Planning probably isn't perfect, but is the best we have encountered during 20 years of dealing with our family trusts.

I had our original estate plan done through by another firm, and it was just a template that I filled out, that didn't have any explanation of all the legaleze. I was not impressed, but luckily I had a benefit from my employer to cover the cost. This time around, I appreciated that JM took the time to explain and answer all of our questions. It's pricier, but this isn't something to try to save a few bucks.

Mr. Preston did a very thorough review of my original Trust and discussed how and why the Trust should be updated. I was especially impressed by the way he clearly explained everything, avoiding legal terminology that would require a law degree to understand. All of the personal that worked with were very pleasant and professional. I would recommend Preston to anyone needing this type of service!
