I had a serious dispute over a contract on a joint venture project that got pretty ugly. A former partner had withheld thousands of dollars owed to me from my contribution to the project. He argued a ridiculous fine print item from our contract that supposedly enabled him to do this. I had been referred to him by another lawyer in the area. I called him and he calendared me for a consultation the very next day. He spent 2 hours listening to my case and reviewing the contract with me, and he did not even charge me a penny for the consultation. This particular case I was lucky enough to go on a contingency fee because the case qualified for legal fees to be paid in the settlement. To make a long story short, Steve treated me with the utmost respect and I couldn't have asked for a better outcome that he won for me. If you are looking for someone that will go to bat for you when it matters, I would definitely recommend him.
