I was fortunate to learn about Preston Estate Planning from a friend who invited me to a presentation where they explained their view of estate planning. They reviewed my friend’s existing estate plan and noted missing elements with recommendations. Of course, my friend chose Preston Estate Planning to update and maintain their estate plan. I didn’t even have a will, let alone an estate plan! It was a wake up call for me, so after an informative online meeting with JM Preston, I started the process of creating my own estate plan with Preston Estate Planning. Creating the estate documents started with a page of questions. Determining who gets what when you depart this world was relatively straight forward, but figuring out who you really trust to handle important health and financial decisions if you become incapacitated required some serious thought. Be prepared to read and review the resulting estate plan; the binder contains a hefty set of documents that cover every situation I could think of… and quite a few situations that had never occurred to me. Preston Estate Planning even provided a mobile notary service to walk me through the signing procedures for the documents. I still have to fund trusts, change beneficiaries on accounts, etc. and it is reassuring to know Preston Estate Planning is just a phone call or email away to answer questions. Preston Estate Planning’s business model accommodates new estate laws, as well as changes to my own situation with an annual plan review. And I always learn something new from the periodic online sessions.
