The ONLY problem I have with these 'community' meetings is that they rarely begin on time (this one was 20 minutes late). They always announce they are waiting for 'late arrivals', please be patient. This is extremely irritating to those of us who make the time to get up early to ensure we are there at the designated time, allowing for extra time for any traffic problems, parking, etc (we left our house at 8:30) so that we would not inconvenience any other participants. If we had known our lateness would be generously 'accommodated', we could have slept in another half hour, had a little breakfast, and not worried about 'getting there on time'. Because we had prepared for contingencies, we arrived a little after 9:00, found a quick parking spot and were seated about 9:15 (with some reading material to pass the extra time). Since it was anticipated there would be a large turnout, 'overflow' room(s) were provided with TV hookup. It would have been appropriate for 'latecomers' to be directed there so as not to disrupt the ongoing presentation and provide incentive(s) to be 'on time' next time. Whatever they missed could be covered by a short 'make-up' session after everybody (who took the time to be on time) could leave and carry on with their day that they had prepared for. I also greatly suspect that the presentation is (roughly) structured so that it concludes before noon and, when faced with 'late comers', some editing is exercised to make the trimmed time to still conclude before noon. The presentation should not also be a victim to these unprepared attendees. While we were patiently waiting and reading our handout and NYTimes, we were exposed to others equally irritated who expressed such by initiating 'group clapping' to tell the stage "it was time to begin". While we did not join in, we sympathized with the feeling that our 'shortened' lives were being wasted waiting for others to show up and be seated. Otherwise, it was pretty interesting an well presented. Not much too new for us in particular but it was good to learn we did not have to sign the 'P----' form about our medical preferences but could rely on the Personal Medical Wishes statement. How's that?

On Monday February 24, 2020 We met with Mr. John Preston and discussed with him our family estate plan. I'm glad we did it because there were so many things that he told us that we were not aware of. Our meeting was informative, enlightening and straight forward. We now feel that our estate is safe, secure and will be distributed to my family in accordance with our wishes.The staff were very accommodating.More power to Preston Estate Planning. I just attended a 2 hour meeting by my lawyers from Preston Estate Planning on understanding my trust, the Power of Attorney for Health and the Power of Attorney for Finance. My wife and I attended the recent Anaheim presentation. We were happy that it started on time as sometimes these things can get delayed a bit. Even though Mr. Preston's microphone was not working too well at the beginning, everything went off without a hitch. We were pleasantly surprised that coffee and snacks were provided for the guests. The presentation was very informative, and we liked that all three attorneys gave us valuable information on the new tax laws while keeping things light and fun. I would definitely recommend to all Preston clients to take advantage of attending the next meeting especially if you haven't been to one before.
