From day one of calling his office, I found Jason Jones to be very knowledgeable about the bankruptcy process. He offered excellent advice, was very accessible and more than willing to spend time on the phone answering my questions. In addition, his staff was friendly and equally responsive always keeping me on track with the large volume of documents that needed to be submitted. Our personal debt from a business was extensive and I knew we needed a good lawyer. After researching then interviewing more than 20 local lawyers in San Diego County, I found Jason to be the most competent, intelligent and strategic lawyer around. I didn't know Jack from Joe, so I wasn't going to be fooled by advertising, flashy websites or big names. I personally drove around interviewing them all and comparing notes. At our first meeting, Jason impressed me with his knowledge of new bankruptcy laws. He impressed me with his strategy and his intellect. He explained that since he was trained in the new BK laws he doesn't have build up of old laws that no longer apply. And his price was very competitive. I feel I would not have only been a number and a name to the flashy guys with the big advertising budgets that would have cost me $1000s more. Jason gave me personal time and his commitment to quality. I suggest you do your research. Find your best fit. Meet your potential lawyer in person. You have to have a connection with the staff that is going to represent you to the Trustee. Jason was that person for me and his staff didn't let me down at all. His other star attorney is Rachel Harwylo. Rachel is an associate attorney at Avatar and she'd respond to emails, phone calls and questions within minutes. What a super-star!! Even after the discharge of debt Rachel helped ease my nerves with questions that she handled professionally. No stone went unturned. If you follow their process up front you get quality results. I can't say anything negative about Jason. Nothing at all. Call Avatar and interview his staff. Make sure you do your homework. Find out for yourself. That's the best advice I can give.
