Pros
1
Highly knowledgeable and experienced attorney with strong relationships and reputation in the local courts
“Arvand is a very sophisticated lawyer who knows how to fight a case. He is a life saver and easily turn 5 years of being in jail to just 5 years in probation”
2
Provides excellent communication and responsiveness to clients
“Arvand made us feel like he really did want to help our family. He helped me see that my brother just needed help and a chance to "get better" which he wouldn't be able to do if he had to sit in prison for long.”
3
Fights hard to get the best possible outcome for clients, even if it means going to trial
“He refused to settle on the first offer. And made good on his promise to get me the best outcome.”
4
Cares about his clients and goes above and beyond to support them
“Arvand is one of the most professional individuals I know. His knowledge, and attentiveness to detail is what sets him apart. His honesty, and his blunt personality make it easy to work with him.”
5
Well-respected and connected within the local legal community
“Arvand has an excellent rapport with Judges and prosecutors, charges were never filed against me. I hope I'll never have to hire an attorney again, but if I do, I'll definitely hire Arvand.”

Tania is the best Immigration lawyer, she got me out of deportation processing and got out from Adelanto detention center, got my green card back also in a matter of a couple years she also helped me with my paper work to becoming a US citizen, today 10/21/24 had my interview with the ins and passed my citizenship, my criminal record is really bad talking DUI ,and fire arms as a juvenile, which I did all my time, but trust me she's assume she goes out of her way to communicate with me, she's there by phone email, if she's in court, she reaches out to you after or on a break, she's always working for you, I really recommend her to any one with immigration problems she's the best. Thank you Tania I will be letting people know about and family members ❤️

Attorney Lias is a fierce and talented criminal defense attorney. She is a true advocate for justice. When I was hit with a meritless and retaliatory temporary restraining, Antionette carefully listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. She gave me a good idea on what to expect during the hearing and I’m happy to say that attorney Lias got the temporary restraining order Dismissed with Prejudice.

I found Tania through a Google search. I was feeling overwhelmed and confused due to an issue with USCIS. While the problem was simple, it required me to consult an attorney. Unsure of how to even explain the situation properly, Tania kindly offered me a callback. In just one call, she pointed me in the right direction. Her guidance was so clear that I spoke with her on a Monday, submitted the document she recommended (following her advice) on Wednesday, and by Friday of the same week, the case status was approved. Tania was very kind and personable. She avoided using complex legal jargon, which can often be confusing. What stood out most was that she wasn’t trying to charge an exorbitant fee just to answer a simple question. In the end, I received kind and down-to-earth support.

Tania is nothing short of Amazing! We used her to get my wife's work permit & permanent resident card and she was extremely knowledgeable and responsive. I don't think we could have successfully navigated all the paperwork on our own--it was much more complex than we had imagined! I have recommended her to everyone I encounter looking for an immigration attorney.

I got the chance to be a juror on of this guys cases. This guy know what he’s doing 1000%. From the way he would ask the question, to the way he presented himself. He gave off a mob lawyer vibe. Because of him because a good criminal defense attorney, it got me watching court case videos for a couple months after. I got dismissed from the juror so I didn’t get to see what happened. After a while, I randomly find his page on a insta ad and instantly recognize him. All his clients have outstanding results from his posts and from seeing him in action. I don’t think they’re fake. This guy is worth the money 100%. If anyone I know needs a lawyer, I’m recommending him every time.

Going to court is not pleasant. However, Mr. Siegel took my case very seriously and really took the time in my defense to talk to the prosecutor and judge, show my email evidence, which resulted in the most favorable outcome for me. I'm very thankful Mr. Siegel was my lawyer.

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. What potential outcomes can I expect?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of San Fernando, California?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
