After having been unfortunately caught in immigration complexities due to my previous employer’s neglect, I had been introduced to Mr. Ghassan Shamieh serendipitously in 2019 when I was scheduled for a judge hearing at San Francisco Immigration Court. WIthout recourse to any professional help initially, Mr. Ghassan Shamieh was on scene as a pro-bono lawyer in aid for individuals without any representation. I had a hearing earlier in 2019 as well, and my experience that time with pro-bono options wasn’t convincing enough due to which I procrastinated my decision of getting any particular attorney support. However, this time, Mr. Ghassan’s presence was very welcoming in the courtroom, and it was quite obvious he had a well-acknowledged reputation and history. Striking off with his genuine concern for each individual on-site, my first interactions with him as a pro-bono lawyer gave me enough confidence to trust in him for my future attorney representation with regards to my immigration case moving forward. Mr. Ghassan’s suave and assured demeanor in explicating all the legal ramifications and technicalities tied to my case and propounding all the possible routes to resolve my immigration status issue gave me a bird’s eye view of my situation which I realistically wasn’t able to obtain from external sources. My prior legal consultations with other immigration law firms had left a lot to be desired. In contrast, Law Offices of Shamieh took due diligence in attending to any of my personal queries at the swiftest, and Mr. Elias Shamieh, the senior associate had also represented me once in one of the court hearings. I was in court and applied for asylum. I had a very very very hard government attorney that was not easy but mr. Ghassan handled it so professionally. My name is Odilia Akwo and my immigration attorney, Mr. Elias Shamieh.
