Sanjay was absolutely wonderful in the handling of my case. He is very prompt returning phone calls and explains everything in detail and in terms that I could understand. This is very important when picking an attorney or a doctor. I would recommend Sanjay to anyone that needs an attorney. He is excellent and I would not hesitate to utilize his talent again if I were to have a need for his expertise again.

I worked with Sanjay Schmidt on a police misconduct case starting last year. This guy knows his stuff first off. The direction he wanted to go with my case was probably the best way to take it, which was to find out every Constitutional rights violations he could, and go for the jugular. He decided to bring in a second lawyer who is equally as good, Panos Lagos. Together, I knew I was in good hands. These guys called me often, emailed me even more often, and met with me and all the witnesses often as well. They moved quick, and always kept me informed on any and all updates as the case moved along. I sometimes wondered if they had other cases because they were so invested in my case. They of course had many other cases going on but, I never felt like mine took a backseat to maybe a more lucrative case, ever. They hired investigators, sometimes even conference-calling the private investigator while on a call with me so I could hear what the investigator was learning from the witnesses first hand. Within 6 months of officially filing the claim, we had the defendants scrambling and offering settlements, good settlements. These guys take this type of stuff seriously, and believe in the cases they handle personally. They are principled, not timid, and never let up once the ball was rolling. If you are reading this review, HIRE Sanjay. He doesn't talk to you like you're just another client, like I said, he takes it personal and treated me like I was a long time friend that he was defending, seriously. Panos who helped my case with Sanjay, made for a dream team of experience and methods to really hold the Police accountable for everything they deserved to be held accountable for. I lucked out by stumbling upon Sanjay. - I won my case hands down. - I had an article written about my lawsuit that was definitely bad publicity for the police department/city, which was awesome - I won more money than I have ever seen in my life - And to top it off, I feel good about it all. Sanjay assisted our teen with a complicated allegation and was successful in getting the case dismissed to protect our teen's future. He researched and found solid legal defenses to fight this charge and defend her rights. He explained the legal approach to us in language we could understand. Sanjay is an excellent attorney. He kept me abreast of every single detail pertaining to my DUI case. He will listen to you and lay out your options for you so you can make a sound decision. In my case, I asked for him to prepare me for the worst possible outcomes. Although I was expecting the worse, he WON the DMV hearing and secured a DWI (wet) with a .15. He is definitely one to follow through on any and all available course of actions. I must commend him on being persistent on retrieving evidence as the CHP claimed MVAR data was not recorded. This lawyer had one of the most challenging cases I have ever heard of. On a political level when a police officer is involved , the outcome is usually extremely difficult to be reached in a manner that benefits the client. My nephew was involved in an unfortunate accident with a police officer that had been injured while chasing my nephew. For a while I was even in doubt that my nephew would be in jail for at least 5 years. This lawyer had gotten a deal that was beyond what I could ever imagine for my nephew, he is now doing 3 months on ankle monitor.
