I retained Ms. Gamez for a period of nearly three years, in order to facilitate complicated due diligence on independent trustees and ultimately to petition the court to install a corporate trustee in their place. Alicia was thoughtful and strategic about when and how to pursue varying courses of action. Her expertise and thoughtfulness not only led to the resolution of the issues at hand, but considered my situation holistically, setting me up for a lifetime of ease in my role as beneficiary. Her rate and billable hours were fair and always recorded with clarity. She was communicative, direct, and professional in her dealings with other attorneys and parties involved, while remaining friendly, engaged, and caring to me as a client. All this while I was 3,000 miles away on the East Coast: we only met once in person, and I couldn't have felt like I was in better hands. I have used Alicia Gamez for over 5 years now and I can not say enough great things about her. Initially I hired her for tax purposes and over time she has become the general council for our family. She recently helped us with a very difficult commercial lease negotiation, which is NOT her expertise. We brought her in because we were not happy with the service of a very large law firm that specialized in commercial property. It is hard to imagine that someone with very limited experience could walk circles around a very experienced law firm but that is exactly what happened. Alicia helped us re-write a horribly written lease and saved our family huge potential losses. One of her best qualities is that she will bring specialists in when necessary, and will be clear about what the best path is.
