We worked primarily with Ray and Jackie, and briefly with Joe. We had a pretty tough case and while most other firms highlighted that aspect, the team at Tobener focused on the strengths and honesty of our case and in the end got us justice. We cannot thank them enough for getting us a great outcome! All cases are stressful and can be emotionally draining, however, both Ray and Jackie helped us through the process with sound legal advice at appropriate times. I highly recommend them for their professionalism, experience and especially compassion, which at times is lacking in this field. And although I don't wish you have to ever go through an issue with your landlord, in case you do, this is the only law firm I would recommend.

To have assistance, and support being an African American is very important in today’s society. Black women are truly under assisted and neglected. I didn’t get that when I came here. I got the vibe, if you’re about your business then business will be handled. No one wants their time to be wasted. This law firm will do exactly what you’re willing too. Team players. I am soooo blessed that I have found Tobener Ravenscroft to handle my unique tenancy situation via my friend’s referral and extremely grateful with Joe and Allyson for their expertise and support they provided to me during that stressful time when my apartment building was sold. I have lived in my apartment for more than 20 years. I was terrified to find out that my apartment building was put on sale. Both Joe and Alyson are professional, personable, responsive and knowledgeable to explain my tenancy rights in real world terms. Thank God for this team! We found them in a moment of uncertainty after a wrongful eviction, and they helped us stand up for our rights. This firm and the people that work here are amazing. I had an owner move-in eviction suit and they were very helpful. Allyson in particular was extremely helpful. She is knowledgeable about this area of law, as well as other areas, construction law, that positively impacted how she litigated for my case. Allyson effectively communicated the legal process, what to expect at each step along the process to ensure I was knowledgeable and there were no surprises. She and her colleague Joe (Tobener - firm partner/owner) were very realistic around expectations based on my case. This was extremely helpful and compassionate. It was emotional for me and they were sure to keep my expectations set at reasonable and fair level. I find Allyson to be a fantastic advocate for her clients. I believe she believes in what she is doing to help others and that she truly cares. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the others in the office that were extremely helpful - Tiffany is great. If it's not worth it, no one should defend it, least of all you. These incredible advocates will work your case with intelligence and compassion, and make sure that you are minimally involved and maximally protected. Even if nothing came of my claim, it was worth just the peace of mind to have their representation, What I got in the end was not only peace of mind, but also a result that far exceeded my most optimistic expectations. Not all claims are worth pursuing, and I would say, from the perspective of a potential client, that this hard truth explains any of the negative reviews you may have encountered about this firm.
