My wife and I were living in a quadplex which unfortunately had a nuisance neighbor living in it. Very long story short, he violated the lease many many times and when we told the landlord about these transgressions we were met with defiant resistance, inaction and ultimately her own harassments against us. Later on, the neighbor made several physical threats upon us culminating in an assault by him upon my wife and I. My wife ended up in the hospital and I ended up needing physical therapy for my injuries. Even after we secured a permanent restraining order against the neighbor, not only did he continue to harass us, but the landlord also stepped up her own harassments. The police hadn’t been able to help us, and a couple of divisions of the city government couldn’t help us. The court helped us but only after we had been assaulted and injured. So who could we turn to? After a few months of research we decided to call Tobener Ravenscroft. I found that many other websites were linking themselves to the Tobener website, and it seemed that Tobener Ravenscroft was the de facto leader, if not authority, in terms of landlord-tenant litigation. I saw some YouTube videos of both Joe Tobener and Jacqueline Ravenscroft. They seemed very forthright and had a strong purpose to help tenants who had been subjected to major transgressions by malevolent landlords. Allyson Murphy was assigned to our case. Very soon I could tell she was a very resolute person. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable with the litigatory process. Since my wife and I had never sued anyone before, we had no idea what to expect, so our uncertainty just led to fear. Allyson handled all of that. She essentially perfectly predicted how events would transpire going forward. We had been bullied by the landlord and assaulted by the neighbor, but eventually I got bullied by the defense attorney during the deposition! This attorney was the most unprofessional and contemptuous person I had ever had the displeasure to interact with. I was worried that the attorney’s arrogance would not be captured in a mere transcript of the deposition. Allyson however made sure to put it on the record that the defense attorney was harassing me, and she did it again when it was necessary to do so despite the protestations of the attorney. Allyson definitely showed that she cared for her client and was not willing to have us undergo any more abuse. A week ago, Allyson called me and said the opposition decided to settle at the number we wanted. She was as overjoyed as I was when she called! She really invested herself in us and long ago more than earned our trust. She had always been confident in our case, knew the law better than the opposition did by a wide margin and always knew what to say to keep us calm during this whole ordeal. I’d like to thank Allyson, Tiffany and Joe for the help they gave us; we’re total strangers to each other but the main things we have in common are that we’re good people and we believe in the law. Tobener Ravenscroft showed us how the law worked, how “balance” could be achieved through the legal system, and that evil people don’t always get away with their crimes. I would never, ever, want to be the landlord who has to go up against Allyson and Tobener Ravenscroft.

I'm extremely grateful for the effort that Tobener Ravenscroft has put into my case. We are having an issue with our landlord returning our security deposit. We had our consultation today and she walked us through the steps we need to take to work on getting this resolved. She also helped us draft an email to try to resolve prior to taking legal action. The lawyer we talked with was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions.
