Attorney Julie Wobbe and paralegal Elizabeth Fuentes helped to successfully settle a distressing constructive eviction claim against a S.F. landlord. It took nearly two years but some of the delay was due to the respondents who sough to delay the process as much as possible. So grateful to have found TR. I was at the end of my rope with a selfish corporate landlord who was really destroying the peace and comfort of "home" at the apartment my wife and I were renting in San Mateo. With the utilities packaged in, for a 2br 850sq ft, apt, we were paying close to $4,500 a month. For the last year and a half, constant water shut offs, at least 15 a year. they have tankless toilets there so… no water means your not flushing. If you work from home and missed the morning “train”, your stuck in a pretty stinky situation for the rest of the morning and early afternoon. Pair that with constant false fire alarms going off at night, and then the full gut construction all day starting at 8am in the unit directly above, and across from us. I was seriously starting to fear for my job security, much less my sanity. Plus my dog was freaking the hell out every time they randomly bang, drop, Sawzall, or drop something. It was miserable. When I tried to reach an agreement with my landlord, all they said was, we have a right to do this, its in your lease, and there’s nothing we can do about it. Until I finally reached out to TR, and got the ball rolling on legal action. From the intake team to the attorneys were spoke with me and helped me prepare my case for legal action, I felt like they really tried to understand my situation and present my case for the best possible outcome. Within a short time, we got the ball rolling, and the landlord has agreed to let us out of our lease with no termination penalties, and no future obligations. So glad to have the help of TR and to be out of that apartment. Would def recommend the professional and passionate attorneys at TR.

My partner and I were facing a very difficult situation with a unreasonable slumlord who were trying to evict us illegally. I started to research and read up on my tenants rights and began to try to communicate with the landlord about them. We tried to begin the conversation about how we didn't actually need to move out, how if we were to move, we would need a relocation fee, etc. The landlord would not have any of it, and resorted to using harassment tactics to get us out. The situation got to the point where I felt I had to take legal action, even though I had never been in a situation where I would have to talk to a lawyer about anything.
