This is my first time to seek for a lawyer's help since I came to the US in 2007. Our case is a domestic violence dismissal. Like many other 1st generation immigrant couples that lived together for many years, life is full of trifles, work pressure, depression, anxiety, any of them can anytime trigger a hot argument , or even a serious fight between you and your loved. Sometimes, these wars between couples can be get over by one side calming down, like leaving room staying one night at hotel, but sometimes no side wants to give up and the war is continually leveling up. Then, the stronger side ( usually the husband) will show his male power and the weaker sider (usually the wife) will get very shocked and hurt (no injure, in heart especially) and immediately want to seek for help, unfortunately no one could help her since there is no relatives and very few friends ( they may not want the friends know their fight story because after all their family look so harmony from outside). What can a wife do? Yes, call 911. Maybe the wife just simply wanted the police come to persuade her husband to calm down or act a role like a marriage counselor who can teach the man how to treat woman nice. 5 policeman with 5 police car came by, with electric baton in hand. You and your husband are separately inquired for10 minutes'. She may thought this will be a good lesson to her husband and hope the police can leave now, utill she suddenly realized that the kind police put on handcuffs on her husband and going to arrest him send to jail. At this moment, she may regret and want to stay his husband, but everything is out of victim's control, the husband was taken away anyway. So what to do next? I mean, what does a wife do next? Since the husband have nothing to do in the jail, he have to enjoy his cold, wet, small cell with a wonderful free lunch (two slice of dry bread). The other morning I took one day from work, searched website for tips how to deal with situation, bailed my husband out with $10,000, and his arraignment will be 2 months later. At this moment, I realized that the police/procurator are serious, they may sentence my husband to jail for years and there will be a non-erasable crime record on my husband's background check for employment. What is totally not I want. I need to fight back against police and let them drop the case! Since our 'enemy' now is procurator, which is too strong for us, we are eager to find a good attorney who can represent us to speak in the court(accurately, represent my husband, not me), we searched internet and called several law firms for a case evaluation. I have to say, after 2 or 3 ridiculous high quote by the legal assistant/lawyer, we are so lucky to came across VIB law firm and Miss Anniesa Jimenez picked up our call. She is very calm and professional, and set up free case evaluation appointment with attorney Rippolio, did not even ask if we have xxx money, like the other firms do. We decided to hire Mr.Rippolio as we walked into VIB offices, he is very experienced and very patient to listen to our concerns, confident but not aggressive at all. At the end, he told us this case are strong to win and he would like to represent us, and gave us a quote. The quote is very reasonable comparing to the other law firms ( we did not even have chance to see a lawyer, just quote on the phone, 3 ~ 4 times more than VIB's.), since we just paid 10000 bail, we do not have much cash at hand, I asked if he can give us a discount ( did not expect he agrees), to our surprise, he is very gentle and generous and gave us $750 off! After contract signed off, Mr.Rippolio help us win this case in 7 days! Until now, our nightmare is over. Highly recommend Mr.Rippolio and VIB!

Worst lawyer I have ever come into contact with was Patrick Valencia of the VIB law firm. Not only did he lie to me several times, he had the only witness for my case turn against me, then after losing the case he tried to charge me more money. I had to hire a different lawyer to send him a letter and then he finally quit harassing me for more money. Don't bother with this guy!!

I can't express the gratitude I have for Cameron Bowman and V.I.B Law; along with their hard working staff who work diligently to make sure you're always up to date and in comfort. I have known Patrick Valencia for over 10 years; he was there for me then, and he most definitely was there for me now. I was caught in a real bad situation and he never once made me feel like he couldn't turn that around. The thing I like most about patrick is that he never tried to sell me on something that wasn't true, he was always up front and honest about the possible outcome of my case.
