Marianne Gil-Lian is the reason why Modern Family Law would get 5 stars from me. She has not only gone through two different court systems for my case but she has been understanding about my concerns, my needs, and really did her best to give me ultimately the outcome I was hoping for. She has shown compassion to me with my financial struggles, my pregnancy and my situation of being a single and sole provider of my 1 year old son. She knew what I endured after the years of physical and emotional abuse by my ex and she really fought for me to get a restraining order as well as establish a custody agreement for my shared son with my ex. After nearly 6 months feeling like there would be no resolution, going through two different court systems dealing with my ex wanting to go though a lengthy trial (when ultimately this could have been avoided and come to a ruling months ago) it felt like there was no end in sight she really went to bat for me during our trial. In the end her compassion, her understanding and perseverance towards my situation ultimately got me to my goal of a 3 year restraining order. Marianne showed me how she is a great advocate and great attorney to have from modern family law.

I came to this law firm not knowing what to except and I was very distraught over the reasons I was seeking legal help. My personal opinion is this was the worst experience I have ever had with a law firm in my entire life, and you are better off representing yourself than being taken advantage of.
