With attorneys, it's not so much what you know, as it is how you present yourself. In 30 years, I've never seen an attorney walk in and take charge of the courtroom quite like Carleen. Paying a little more for top notch representation can save you thousands (or hundreds of thousands) of dollars, and quite a bit of time. With civil cases, it's more important to have a well known law firm on the letterhead, but with criminal cases, you want an attorney who is local, well known, well liked and has presence. Carleen has been all of that for 30+ years now. It is additionally important that defense attorneys are equally matched to prosecutors. Typically, the deck is stacked in favor of the prosecutor; Here, Carleen has no match. In balance, you could say that Carleen is helping to make society more just by making damned sure the prosecutor is held to his duty to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that the defendant is 100% guilty. One thing you can always count on: Carleen is never going to let an innocent person go down the river: I can say she got my high profile, trumped up, nonsense case thrown out in short order. I had never been in trouble with the law before and even though I work for a law firm it did not deal with the type of moving violation I had. I sought out Mr. Cvietkovich because I realized I was in way over my head. Before my Court date he informed me of what to expect, how to proceed and not to worry that he was going to discuss the case with the DA and see where they were at. This was a huge relief. After he spoke with them he let me know I would be looking at community service. I was 100% ok with this and it was a better outcome than having to pay a high fine. I got my community hours and was very pleased with how many I had to serve. It seemed very fair to me and once I served my hours, my case was dismissed. Mr. Cvietkovich was VERY professional and knowledgeable and was able to lower my anxiety. He was able with his knowledge of the law to get me an outcome that both pleased the court and me. I would and have recommended him to friends and family alike. He is an excellent attorney.

I decided to hire Nick to represent me after my DUI arrest. He set realistic expectations for the odds of me winning my case, and reviewed a solid plan of action he was going to take to try to exonerate my record. At no point did I feel like he made any false promises, nor did he ever pressure me to go to trial. In the end I was convicted (my odds were slightly above weak at best) but Nick was able to get my sentence significantly reduced, both with my DUI class length and my community service time. He also offered one of the best quotes for his services, and went above and beyond in terms of service and courtesy.

My cousin referred me to Nick when I was arrested for hit & run. I was told this could get me deported. Nick help me a lot to get better deal. He was able to get that charge dropped and lesser charges for the others. I'm was very happy with him and the work he did for me. Also, I can understand Nick, but sometimes his secretary help to translate. She was also very nice and helped me alot.

I feel Nick handle my case very well. He kept me in the loop at all times. If I had concerns, he made sure they were taken care of. If I ever need a lawyer again, I would be calling Nick.

I was pulled over by the police in San Jose about 4 months ago with a .09 blood alcohol level. I knew I had to get some help. This was my first time ever needing legal help.
