Mr. Stein and his daughter are an excellent team. I use them a little over a year ago and found them to be not only compassionate and caring, quick to respond but really knew their business. I feel that I got more than my money's worth and hiring them and I was very grateful to have been able to find them through a good friend of mine. I wish they had 10 star ratings because they would get it without hesitation. Thank you mr. Stein for everything that you did for me and making my situation a lot easier. My experience with the Stein-Conaway law firm was far beyond great! I am from Illinois but was in San Luis Obispo for work when I got myself into a situation that I definitely needed help with. I contacted Kara shortly after finding out the hard way that I was getting way less than satisfactory representation from the law firm I first chose. Definitely a lesson learned the hard way. After a brief meeting with Kara and her partner Jeff I already felt more comfortable. Like I was finally being heard. So I decided to walk away from my first lawyer and give Kara and Jeff a chance to help me. Thank God I did!!! They got to work right away asking many questions and reviewing all the materials many times along with many other things to come up with the best defense. It was at this point that I knew I had made the right decision. I knew that win or lose they were trying their hardest and were not going to give up on me. In the end they had dug deep enough and developed a good enough defense that it resulted in a more than satisfactory result. I was highly impressed by their teamwork and more importantly the work ethic that they showed. Kara was very easy to talk to and did a fantastic job of explaining things in a way that I could understand. I would recommend the Stein-Conaway law firm to any of my friends or family! They represented me the best they could and they got the job done. These are good people and very good at what they do.

Kara is very professional and well spoken. She always kept me posted throughout my case with each progression. She was successful in reducing my possible misdemeanor and possible 5K fine, into just 20 hours of community service and all charges were dropped! Kara helped me put my mind at ease when going through my case. She explained step by step on what was needed from me on any time sensitive issues that the court / law required. She helped explain multi sided outcomes in my particular case and worked with me on the financial side as well. I would recommend her to anyone searching for any legal council. I never thought I would find myself needing the assistance of a criminal attorney. When I did, Kara Stein-Conaway came highly recommended. From the first call she was attentive and was able to to explain things in a way that I could understand. She went to work immediately working in my defense. I do believe that it was due to her knowledge, organization, efficiency and experience that I was saved from months of court dates and waiting. Every time I called her she either took my call or called me back very quickly. She went above and beyond in even helping me to find other experts to help with my situation. Kara goes the extra mile. This was the first time in my life that I had to hire a lawyer to defend me, so I was extremely nervous and had no idea what to expect. From the very first meeting, Kara was extremely compassionate and easy to open up to. During the process, she was very accessible and walked me through everything, step by step. However, the most important thing a lawyer can do is to get a positive outcome on the case. Because Kara was willing to dig deeply into the law books and research old case law, she found obscure, rarely used precedent that she used to get the case against me dismissed. If she had just done what was ordinary or expedient, I would still be suffering the results of the charges. First off, I'm 100% satisfied. May of 2018, my significant other was in desperate need of a good lawyer, specifically specializing in DUI cases. Kara was OUTSTANDING. She was very attentive, has very thorough answers to any questions you may have and extremely knowledgeable. As some of you who are reading this review, DUI's are not easy. We gave Kara all our trust to get him out of this hole and had an amazing/successful outcome. Highly recommended!
