Kit Westbrook has been incredible from the start. He not only cared to listen to my story but he’s honest, sincere, and reachable. Absolutely cannot say enough good things about Kit Westbrook. I was falsely accused of domestic violence and was facing 2 counts of felony charges and possible jail/fines. Time was of the essence and we had to work quickly. Kit was responsive and on my case in no time. Within a weekend we were able to put the information together to prove my innocence. He presented the facts to the DA and was able to get the charges dismissed. Not saying that will be the case for everyone but he gave me hope in a time where things were looking bad and no one else believed my story. He helped me navigate a situation involving my son, who has a very complicated history of developmental disabilities. When his bicycle was recently stolen, I encouraged him to stay put until I arrived and call the police in the interim so we could file a police report when I got there. The police did show up at the scene and we were able to file a report, however by the end of the encounter my son was handcuffed and taken to jail for a warrant arrest from another county which neither me, nor my son, knew anything about. Needless to say, as I drove home I was totally engulfed by fear and confusion.....until I was able to consult with this amazing attorney. Thirty years ago I chose to take care of a family issue rather than appear on two tickets. Being a wife, mother, daughter, employee, grandmother, and great-grandmother I kept on taking care of "issues" rather than tickets. Weeks became months, months became years and tickets became warrants. For fear of being arrested, I became "low profile". Bottom line {this paragraph}, I have been eligible to collect social security for eight years but thought the warrants prevented me doing so and I am sure I should get a physical but don't have insurance for the same reason. He was upfront about the possibilities of jail time and fines but he was also supportive and encouraged me to get this settled. It was maybe a 30-minute phone conversation but I hung up believing all would be well. I believe it was the next day when he called back. He had wanted to check out my warrants to see what needed to be done and if they were still current. They were. He told me his fee [which was less than it should be] and in the next couple of days, the case was on put on a calendar. About 3 to 3 and a half weeks later Kit called one more time....."Susan, are you ready for good news"? "Your case was dismissed! Totally gone. Never to be brought up again." I need my record expunged. it was easy and trouble free. I have a clear record, and it was so quick!

Suddenly I needed a lawyer on behalf of my son. He was arrested coming out of a frat party at Cal Poly. The charge was misdemeanor Public Intoxication.
