My wife and I had to file for bankruptcy due to a commercial lease agreement on our failed business. Matt held our hands through the entire process. We always felt like we were well represented and that Matt had our best interests in mind. Declaring bankruptcy is an emotionally difficult process. It's imperative to feel like your attorney is on you team. Matt was on our team.

I have worked with & been a client of more attorneys then i can count during my adult life.
Mr. Metzger stands out amongst the very finest. You get a sense during the initial consult that he cares & understands the issues at hand /your predicament. He patiently explains (in honest to god english, no less!) the process, ifs, and, or buts about your prospective case. Once retained Mr. Metzger proved to know a complicated process inside out; he filed documents in a timely manner; I never felt as if my case was at sea. He kept me up on what to expect. There was always a sense that he had your back. His execution proved this sense a reality. During the final meeting with the administrator, he was a settling presence. I knew what to expect, and when. He had the respect of the administrator & all went swimmingly/.
Mr. Metzger was/is every penny!

Matt helped my husband and I through the agony of bankruptcy. It was a difficult decision to make but finally it was out out our hands, due to unrelenting medical expenses and because the largest bank we owed money to refused to settle or negotiate.
From the very beginning, our case was complicated. Our finances didn't make sense to the Trustee and there were about 25 objections we had to navigate. Although we were scrupulously honest, it appeared we were hiding something. It was almost certain that if the case were to be approved at all, it would have to be refiled after a period of months. And if we were forced to wait another 6 months it would have been disastrous.
Matt was thorough, detailed, doggedly persistent and continued driving the case forward. He put in hours of work and so did we. It was a grueling process. But we all worked together and plowed through it.
I didn't clearly understand the process until we were well along and so occasionally I didn't provide critical information, further complicating matters. Matt just kept pushing on and I know he spent many hours on the case. I believe he sometimes went over and above what he had to do. Even though the constant deadlines forced him to be very direct and sometimes extremely frustrated, we always knew that he cared for us and for the outcome.
And then a miracle happened. We only went to court once to meet the Trustee and he approved the case after a short waiting period. Everything went through without a hitch, even though it was highly likely it would have been much more difficult or impossible to get through.
It is nearly a year and a half later. My husband and I have a clean slate and are rebuilding our financial lives. Sometimes its stressful to live within the plan but we're making it. In about 3.5 years we'll be well on the way toward strong financial stability.
We both owe Matt everyething for this new start. We're both educated and competent people -- we could have tried to file on our own to save attorney fees and thank God we didn't. Bankruptcy is a complicated business that requires an experienced, competent attorney. Matt did an awesome job! We HIGHLY recommend his services.
Thank you Matt.
