Lisa and her office were amazing! They are very prompt, thorough, and didn’t overcharge it run up fees. In fact, they were the opposite of what feels to be the normal practice of crazy billing and endless fees. I felt completely in beyond capable hands throughout this entire process. Divorce does not run in my family, no one in my sphere is divorced so having to go through this process left me lost, unsure of where to begin or what to expect. Lisa is a smart and graceful lawyer. I met her during a very emotional time, after meeting with four other lawyers to help me deal with a paternity action and another (unfortunate) action. I was a mess when I got served for was an emergency hearing (completely unexpected). I was unprepared and anxious. In 48 hours, Lisa managed to prepare a solid argument, and a very eloquent declaration. Lisa knows the law. She does her homework, and she is smart. VERY SMART. Unlike other lawyers, she wasn't trying to do unnecessary stuff (and hence charge me thousands of dollars). She reminded me of what my goal was the whole time, and reminded me that I should not seek "an eye for an eye." I also felt that Lisa listened to what I wanted. I liked that she did not try to sweet talk me when I met her. She was polite, and contacted me with a few cases afterwards so I get a sense of the logic behind the law. After that, I decided to sign the retainment agreement. I think it was one of the best decisions I made. I am thrilled to offer my highest recommendation for Ms. Lisa McCall, the family attorney who represented me in a high-conflict custody and divorce battle. Ms McCall took over my case two and a half years after I escaped from an emotionally and verbally abusive marriage. The attorney who initially represented me was forced to take an emergency medical-leave. The transition was seamless and Ms. McCall breathed fresh air into my case which renewed my much-needed energy and conviction. I had been through a divorce before and honestly, my general opinion of family law lawyers was not positive... Lisa is an exception. Having moved to Ca from out of state, with no kids and only 3 years of what I thought was a happy marriage, my divorce came as a total shock. When I realized my wife already had an attorney and was setting me up, I needed to hire an attorney. So I searched out and hired the best one I could find. Lisa worked for the firm I hired and handled my entire case... my X seemed to have a goal that consisted of trying to run me out of money which, made it a needlessly long and difficult case. Lisa always seemed genuinely concerned with how to keep the cost down as much as possible, and always seemed to look out for my best interests. My case went on for over a year but was eventually, successfully mediated. In the begining I had tried on my own to settle out of court, but with Lisa's help, a settlement better than what I had originally wanted was reached. I am happy with and thankful for her representation , she changed my opinion of lawyers and I would recommend her to anyone facing a divorce.

I hired Lisa after my ex wife decided to take me back to court for additional alimony as the end of child support was near. My previous lawyer (as she noted through substantial research) missed several items that should have been addressed in the original proceedings. She was well prepared for trial and did very well with communicating to the judge and court room staff, they all genuinely liked her. Her preparedness and cross examination was excellent and has left my case in a positive disposition should there be further legal action. I will also mention that her legal staff is top notch, responsive and professional.

Divorcing from a woman with lawyers up and down her family tree was daunting and yet I’m not about to back down when I know I’m in the “right”. I met with LISA from a referral from my sister. We talked on the phone and in her office multiple times. She helped me before I was even a client and made it very clear. There are several parties in the divorce and she and her firm was one of them. So was my ex legal team and then kids and, in essence, the elephant in the room was that if we didn’t figure it all out even if it was slightly leaning unfairly on either side it was better than dragging it on. Lisa is not that greedy lawyer that wants you to win at all costs. Which ends up costing SO MUCH MORE. She is a breath of fresh are and a good friend. I left a fight on good terms, with my head high and have asked for her advise many more times thereafter mostly to my contentment she has offered I not use her services and start a fight. She protects her clients, very smart, young but experienced, and I think proves a rare breed of legal that isn’t all about the money.

I was married for 5 years and I filed for divorce in 2014. I thought it would be a smooth divorce process because we were married for only 5 years and we had no assets together that we had to fight over. That was not the case. The judge that presided over my case was new to family law and as result of that the judge exceeded her authority in several instances. She ordered retroactive spousal support to an absurd day with NO end date. My x wife's attorney asked the judge "can you do that?". They even could not believe what she ordered. I was devastated. I was referred to Lisa Rose McCall to appeal the courts ruling. Lisa was awesome!!! First of all and more importantly she is very competent. She responded to all my questions and concerns in a timely matter. She worked extremely hard on my case. I felt more at ease because I felt like I had someone on my corner that sympathized with what I was going through and was genuinely interested in helping me get out of the hole I was in. She was able to reverse the unfair courts ruling and settle with my x wife. I will always be very thankful to Lisa for what she did for me.
