Sanford Horowitz (Sandy) got me out of an incredibly difficult situation. While it was the worst time of my life, I never doubted his skills and what he could do to turn my situation around. I was in a case that lasted over a year long, and Sandy was great at letting me know of every possible thing that could help my situation. He was up front with the costs and I was never blind sided. Overall, Sandy is a very compassionate attorney who listens and really tries to get the best outcome for his clients. I would recommend any and every one to him, especially those going through domestic cases.

Sandy is a gem of a lawyer and a person. When I got involved into a case, I was totally unaware of the laws and the consequences of the case but Sandy was always there for me, both as a lawyer and as a friend. He is someone who doesn't just treat you as one of the clients but really takes time to understand your priorities and advises you in a manner that's most beneficial to you. My case was special in the way that I am not a US citizen. He made sure that my immigration needs were also met with the outcome of the case. was thankfully referred to Sandy for my family law custody case in Santa Barbara. The opposing counsel was submitting aggressive declarations and lying on record, so I decided that I should get an attorney in efforts not to lose custody of my boy. My experience with Sandy has been 10x better than my previous lawyer in town and here's why; Sandy's meetings are brief, yet highly productive. My previous attorney would have me in her office for upwards to 6 hours on multiple occasions. Working with Sandy actually brought some tranquility to my situation. Sanford Horowitz is an amazing lawyer! I reside in Oregon & found Sanford via the internet. My brother-in-law was arrested here in Oregon for a warrant issued in Santa Barbara. I called Sanford on a Monday evening & left a message. He called me back Tuesday morning. Based on a brief conversation with him, he was hired. I knew right away he was knowledgeable as it pertained to California law, was fair & could be trusted. Within a few days of retaining Sanford, he gave me a number to a bail bondsman in California, whom I was able to call and find out the process for bailing someone out in California. A month after being arrested in Oregon my brother-in-law was finally extradited to Santa Barbara, CA. His bail was set at 1.5 million dollars & he had 7 things he was being charged with. Although we wanted my brother-in-law out of jail as soon as possible the amount we would have to pay for bail was a concern. Even though we could work with the bail bondsman there was no guarantee that bail would be reduced to a reasonable amount. Sanford was aware of our concern & very wisely did not push for an immediate bail hearing. Instead he pushed for an evidentiary hearing, in which a judge would have to review evidence from both Sanford & the DA prior to setting bail. By this time, Sanford had advised me to get character letters on behalf of my brother-in-law. The evidentiary hearing took place approximately 2 months after my brother-in-law arrived in Santa Barbara jail. During my brother-in-law’s time in jail Sanford would call or video chat with him on a weekly basis. He also kept me in the loop & sent me the discovery evidence & any other information he received from the DA. Sanford was able to get my brother-in-law released back to Oregon and we did not have to pay any bail amount! Sanford believed in my brother-in-law’s innocence. He listened and handled our frustrations that come along with an experience like this. He was compassionate, understanding & engaged the whole time. As a result of Sanford’s wisdom & knowledge of how to work within the confines of the California judiciary system, my brother-in-law was released in December 2020 & by February 2021 his case had been dismissed. On a side note, Sanford was up front about his reasonable retainer fee & was willing to set up a payment plan.

Sanford was the best lawyer in town after meeting with numerous other options and he was a great help in getting the situation sorted out successfully. Thanks to him we were able to make a favorable deal and quickly get life back to normal.
