We are very grateful to Atty Randy Hicks. We are so lucky to have came across his page on google while we were searching for an adult adoption attorney. At first I was skeptical if he would even reply to my inquiry but I was surprised that he called me and asked about our case. I thought he would not accept our case since his primary practice is in Southern California and we live in Northern California but thankfully he did. He schedule for all of us to be interviewedvia Zoom meeting. After paying a reasonable fixed amount fee, which is by the way the cheapest compared to other family law offices, we proceeded to signing or documents verification that all is correct and we just had to send the signed copies through mail. We waited for our court date in which we had an option to attend via Zoom and it's done. All in all the process was a breeze. He is also very open if we have any questions on change of name through government agencies and we are really very thankful for all his help. I met my now daughter as she was aging out of the foster system. Our age gap is small for most mother-daughter relationships, but Randall respected us and our bond and helped us legally become family. He is very respectful and great at communicating everything you'll need to know before, during, and after the adoption process.

For nearly 13 years, Shayne and I have been together as father and informally adopted daughter. As my health was deteriorating, I felt the need to make this relationship legal. He submitted the documents to the Orange County court. Orange county processes adoptions only once a month. It would take at least 4 months to receive a court date, I told Randy that 4 months might be too late for me. Randy submitted my health issues to the court. We received the next court date of 4/25/2024. We were able to complete the court hearing by zoom. Randy took time from his vacation and expertly represented us.

Randall (Randy) caught my eye while researching adult adoption in my area of Los Angeles County.
