I was pretty overwhelmed with everything and I did not really know what to expect after the accident, but I soon realized after the accident how bothersome and annoying all these calls were from insurance companies, the body shop and the adjusters who want to get all this information after the accident. I was in a severe accident with a box truck while on the 10 east freeway while I was on the way to work in the early morning. Traffic was pretty steady, until it was coming to a stop ahead of us, when I felt an impact to the back of my car which I cant even begin to put into words what that felt like. I didn't have any warning of the accident and I had immediate injuries to my neck, my back, both shoulders as well as my legs. I stayed in the car immediately after the accident because I was just in such shock after the accident happened that I just really didn't know what to do. After some time and just kind of realizing the gravity of what just happened and in shock, I stayed in the vehicle until medical help and the highway patrol arrived. That's when I realized also how badly I was hurt and how bad the accident was. My neck right below my shoulder blades was in so much pain and I had a lot of lower back discomfort. After exchanging information with the highway patrol officer I got emergency medical care where I was actually diagnosed with a transverse process fracture of my spine, which I actually was not in shock considering how painful it was. They put me in a mobile neck brace and told me I needed to follow up with an orthopedic spine doctor which I did shortly after. My recovery was a long one and I knew this was going to really mess with the synergy of my family life as well as running my own company. My brother had suggested I use the Franklin firm because in 2016, he was in a terrible accident and they also got him a big result for his case so I had the personal referral and knowledge of what they did for him. Going to them was the n best choice I made. Even though the insurance company agreed that the accident was not my fault and fault rested solely on the guy that hit me, my case ended up being seemingly a very hard uphill battle. What was great though was that my lawyers, and in particular Josh and Stanley, really predicted that this would happen knowing very much that for the amount of money we were going for, it would be an absolute dogfight, and when I say dogfight, it was an absolute dogfight. I was on my phone making a call parked on a busy street in LA on Santa Monica Boulevard  in my Tesla when a Rivian lost control of their vehicle and collided right into my driver side which caused my neck and my left shoulder to be in a supreme amount of pain. Because of a basketball injury I had suffered in the past, my shoulder already had some major issues which was a labral tear but I was no where near the pain I was in until this accident happened. I could not lift my left arm after the accident at all. When I hired the Franklin family law firm, they told me I would get justice for what I went through because I feared I would be unable to do the things I once loved and being active because of the accident. I actually thought a car accident lawyer seemed pretty straight forward and easy because everywhere you look in LA, there is a billboard for one so it seems like its pretty straightforward stuff. But when I actually hired the Franklin law firm, I quickly realized how complex an accident case could be and they really helped me through all of it every step. My lawyers which was Stanley, Danny + Josh, told me that in cases like these, it could be a very difficult challenge because the insurance company would likely say that I wasn't injured in this accident, but it was my previous injuries and that could make it hard to reach a favorable settlement. So right when we began they basically gave me what they called was a homework assignment and asked me to get all my previous medical records as this would play a key part of my case. So I did that and I was able to have all my medical records for them and my old MRI's and and X-Rays. I went to my personal doctor that I had used from before the accident and he told me that I definitely needed a surgery to my shoulder after he ordered me a new MRI which showed an even worse tear after the accident. So I ended up getting the surgery and had an exhausting 80 sessions of physical therapy to try to rehab my shoulder. The Franklin firm in easy terms explained to me what they would be doing in the legal system to get me a settlement because this was my first time ever involved in a lawsuit and told me step by step what would happen. Because of their attention to the smallest details at the beginning of the case which had me get my medical records, they were able to show me the differences between from before the accident and after and how they were going to argue my case so I could get a maximum settlement. What they told me was exactly how they would present the case and it seemed like their strategy was exactly what got me such a big settlement for my case. They are strategic, they are experts and it seems to me they know exactly what was going to happen before it happened, and were able to have this tunnel vision and overcome all the challenges in the case to get me my maximum settlement. This is my second time using this law firm. I was involved in an accident in August of 2015 and was so impressed with the results and that $100,000.00 settlement back then that I decided to use them again for this accident case which just settled. I was driving and a car tried to make a U-Turn and crashed right into me. I was pretty much healed from my accidents before in 2015, but this just brought me almost back to where I was in that accident. Also, I remember back after my first car accident case settled that they told me that I needed better insurance coverage, something called underinsured motorist coverage with my own insurance company because they said if I was ever in another accident that it would help to get this type of insurance which would allow me to make more money and I am happy that I did listen because it ended up coming into play here.
