UNPREPARED 100% of the time. Kristi is a terrible attorney, who gives up, is messy, does things last minute, and is very timid in court. She is extremely rude when overwhelmed or challenged, and this causes issues during court hearings. Instead of using the evidence in court, she even points the judge to a client she is representing, on a subject that she has been clearly informed on. She is unresponsive and ignorant of important details and information, and is very hypocritical. She does not follow up, is TERRIBLE at fact-checking, and leaves a lot of room for error in court documents that she submits, and will charge you more and more hours for HER poor work. I believe she knowingly makes these mistakes so that you have to ask her to correct them before submitting the forms, charging you more money in the end. Instead of discussing things, she will try to shut you down and say she is right. She is, in fact, very delusional, as she seems to believe she is good at her job. There are other reviews here, just look at her responses. Her “work” starts at the bottom, and continues to go downhill until she quits on you. I’ve never seen an attorney try to make someone pay for mistakes, until now. She is a thief, and a liar. I would never recommend someone who cannot admit that they are unprepared, unprofessional, and just not fit for the job. She is a person of rare intelligence (it’s rare that she shows any). 0/10 - I do not recommend.

Kristi took my case for family law. I funded 4000 dollars in the trust account and she didn’t do anything but charge, charge, charge for filing paperwork. I provided her with lots of evidence concerning my case and she wouldn’t use the evidence in court. 2 times she went to court unprepared and without the supplied evidence given to her. She was unresponsive most the time not keeping me updated or communicating until the day before a court hearing trying to gathering information last minute and go into court unprepared. The 3rd hearing I was suppose to have Kristi had gave me the wrong information to call in and the hearing was dropped and she tried to blame the other party’s attorney for wrong information when. Really it was her fault. Kristi then re-filed for another hearing and charged me again to file paper work that she messed up. When asking Kristi why she hasn’t been using the evidence give she said: “ I am in receipt of your email. It requires a thorough response as I reviewed your messages and I do not believe you see anything wrong with the communication on your end or that you gave me evidence with her name saved as something derogatory. If you both have issues communicating and being respectful why would the court think that the two of you need to interact more than you do now?” Basically, Kristi refused to use any and all evidence I had video recording screen shots and ect. Because I had my child mother contact name in my phone labeled as “trapping gold digger.” A name saved in my phone contact that no one sees but me. She says that is Derogatory. And so she won’t use the evidence provided. I email Kristi Bernard back this: Kristi, With all due respect, your not a judge. Your an attorney and I am paying you to help me with this case and expose yaniques character and show the court that she is not following court orders and is hostile to me always and is destroying communication between my son and I. I don’t care what the court thinks or assumes because of a name I have her save on my contact as. She doesn’t see that. There is a bigger picture than names. This is about my son and being able to contact him with a genuine open line of communication as stated in the court order. I don’t care about communicating with her. I just want to see my son and speak to him freely without her dictatorship and want to hold her accountable to following the court order. Attorneys are suppose to help their clients and your not using your full potential in this case. If your not willing to help me fully without hesitation or if your not confident let me know so that I know what I must do next. You haven’t been using the evidence in court and we been losing every case based on their lies and no prove. Kristi gets offended reading my response and emails me back resigning (quitting) as my attorney even though we have scheduled court hearings coming up in February 2022. And on top of that I ask for my money back that is remaining and she never communicated that the money was depleted but she keep filing paperwork and charging the account negative and she claims I owe her money. Most attorneys will let you know when the account is low in funds and won’t continue until money in funded in the trust account. Kristi is sloppy, unorganized, produced no results for me, used no provided evidence. Didn’t communicate with me until the last minute of court hearings. Gave me inaccurate information to one court hearing to call in and caused me to miss the hearing and tried to shift blame to the other attorney which was false. Kristi doesn’t take ownership of her mistakes. She is aggressive with the client but can’t handle criticism and she will quit on you because of it. If you want an attorney that is honest and will not quit on you in the middle of a case while taking all your money in the process then look elsewhere for an attorney. I read all the good reviews about Kristi and I wish that was my experience with her but it wasn’t. If y’all want prove of Kristi’s Unprofessionalism I have all her emails she sent to me.
